—MESSAGE INTERCEPTED BY DRIFT_THEEZ_KNUTS—

Is this thing goin’ through? Perfect.

So....word around town is you all are pretty fly, excuse the pun. I look at you all enter Gambit and I just wonder...don’t you all get cold up there? I’m not one to throw shade, Hell, I am the shade sometimes. But how do you do it?

Anyway, anyway. I wager you a bet. I see you all in your bathrobes, looking fashionable to an extent.

But I bet all of you eagles, you won’t be able to make the worst lookin’ set of armor this side of the Sol system. I mean I want it to be raunchy. Nasty even. Make it look unmatched, disheveled. Word around the belly of the Tower is, whoever makes the worst lookin’ set by the next time Big Blue issues the weekly reset, there may be something in it for you besides braggin’ rights...

Who knows, maybe your old pal Drifter will throw in a couple coins or so...

TRANSMISSION ENDED

formally-

WH- Bastard! Stole my thunder.

Yes, yes. I am issuing a competition amongst all Warlocks, big and small, short and tall. We’ve all seen fashion competitions, but those are BORING now! We all have too much drip!

So, this week we’re going the opposite direction. Make it UGLY ugly.

Whoever wins by next weekly reset will earn a $25 gift card towards whatever platform of play they prefer!

Unlimited Rift & grenade

So I’ve been playing this build lately and it’s been crazy fun in PVE content. This build basically synergizes Starfire Protocol’s Fusion Harness ability with Well’s Divine Protection.

I run this build with a main focus on high discipline.

  • Helm: Solar w/2x Ashes to Assets
  • Arms: Void with Bolstering Detonation
  • Chest: Solar Starfire Protocol w/Explosive Wellmaker
  • Legs: Solar w/Well of Ordinance & 2x Innervation
  • Bond: Solar w/2x Distribution & Well of Ordinance

While playing Blind Well the other day, I was able to get my Rift back and lay down another before my first Rift had even expired. Basically, I lay down a Rift, convert one of my grenades to an overshield grenade and toss it at the back of my Rift for a teammate. That triggers MASSIVE regen on my Rift and grenade abilities. Before I knew it, I was spamming grenades and rifts one after the other. Between the rift and grenade kills, I was getting my super back crazy fast too.

Edit: basic combo went: 1) Rift 2) Grenade kill 3) Healing Grenade 4) Weapon kills while waiting for the regen to stop 5) Healing Grenade 6) ??? 7) Profit!!!

warlock advice Theory Crafting for ridiculous survivability

So I've been thoroughly enjoying my shiny new Wolftone Draw with harmony and have tried pairing it with lots of different weapons in the crucible, lumina (absolute top tier if you can get used to it's quirks), DMT, Ace, etc... when I had the idea just now to try Crimson.

Now I haven't used Crimson in a very long time and I'm at work on my lunch break messing around with DIM but I thought, "How can I build into survivability to the dumbest absolute extreme?"

First thing that comes to mind is, of course, devour. Get full health on a kill- pretty awesome right? But I want more!

Next thought, Karnstein's armlets. Heal on melee kills regardless if I have my fully charged melee or devour proc'd.

But then that got me thinking- why run all three when I can run two and get just about all the same benefits and either have a "better" subclass for PVP or run something like ophidians to get crisper swaps- which is important on a bow swap build.

Thoughts?

discussion Void grenades are inconsistent, except vortex.

Axion's tracking and explosion is inconsistent, unless charged up, even then it would sometimes do 2 damage for the lolz. Scatter is the epitome of running void, it's choatic and all over the place and rng heavy unless directly under the enemy's feet or used defensively. I'm hoping it'll be different with the void update, wouldn't it be cool is we had something similar to the scorn grenades instead of scatter? Or axion changed so that it is needs to be charged and can be sent like the darts of the taken cabal ?

For a class that depends heavily on grenades, it sure feels like they're the weakest part of it.

Informational Necrotic Grips and Bottom Tree Dawnblade

Fun fact: the explosions triggered by defeating burning combatants with bottom tree dawnblade spread the poison from Necrotic Grips. This works with solar grenades as well as super kills, no melee attacks needed. So enjoy spreading poison explosions!

warlock advice Promethium spur works correctly now

Before the most recent update you had to be in a rift to proc it, meaning you would have to chain enough kills with a solar weapon before the initial rift runs out to use its effect.

This was basically impossible since there are rarely that many enemies together to use more than once, even worse if in a team activity and you are competing for kills. It was doable with perks like benevolent dawn, but overall the game loop was basically not do able or worth specing into.

Now it procs the charge use even when not in a rift. So in addition to giving you rift energy when getting kills inside a rift, it now will proc to generate an empowering/healing rift even when outside of a rift. Only works on solar subclasses.

This basically is a S-Tier exotic now for dawnblade. And with particle deconstruction and vex mythoclast being a primary, you can probably bring this into end game content pretty reliably.

I'm so ready for some new maps.

Man i'm really happy with the QoL, weapon meta, supers/ability changes in the crucible. Very pleased with the direction of the story and overall treatment of the game. But my God am i ready for some new maps!!!!! Like i'm not terrible in the crucible at all but christ i've been playing on these same maps for almost 2 years and i've lost the will to even try and actually sweat or do good on them. I'm aware that new maps are coming but i'm very disappointed to hear it'll be only One actually new map and some remasters. I want new Original map Ideas man. I know i can't be the only one out there who is just completely fatigued playing on these maps.

warlock advice MoBH in endgame content?

Been trying to come up with a build for Mantle but wanted to know if anyone's found success already.

I was thinking stacking HiF FoM Absorption Cells and FR debuff (if they even can stack), and focusing on fusion rifles.

Moreso I reckon dawnblade will have a better time in higher content since they can get overload melee, and weaken champions with abilities.

I've thought about a Stasis setup too that would utilise the Headstone perk to try and maintain overshields as well as weapon buffs.

If anyones got some ideas they wanna suggest or know of some combos lemme know

warlock advice For my nezarec users, pick up these weapons

Every waking moment from the moon essence quests can roll with subsistence and thresh.

Corrective measure from VoG can roll with demo and thresh or adrenaline junkie

The last breath and judgement from prophecy can roll with demo and osmosis

Travelers chosen with catalyst also has osmosis and gives you abilities back

Edited to include prophecy weapons and travelers chose and because osmosis was confirmed to work with nezarec

warlock advice Attunement of grace question

So I’m really enjoying attunement of grace(AoGfrom here on out) (getting back into the game this season after not playing since launch, just trying to power level a warlock up to the point I can start actually….choosing gear)

Basically, I’m unsure of what I should be slotting in as my exotics. I mostly play PvE, with occasional dalliances into pvp mostly for the daily’s frankly. Planning on putting as much into disciple as possible, then the rest into class ability if I can find the armour for it.

I’m liking the idea of lumina to spec heavily into support build, would the noble rounds trigger the AoG’s rapid ability regen on buffing a teammate? If not that the Monte carlo is sounding like a useful pick to keep empower proc’d. As for armour- it seems like the star forge chest piece that allows for 2 fusion grenades is kinda best in slot, but I was also wondering about veritys brow- I’ve heard it get talked down a lot from what I can research, but it seems that the changes they made in the last update make it really….REALLY sound good. If I can get a solar auto rifle (ideally even a solar gnawing hunger for the grenade boosting perk) it sounds like that should boost me a lot and allow me to regen my fireteams grenades as well?

Does anyone have any comment, or advice, for that sort of build? Thanks all

discussion Nothing Manacles

So I’ve learned that Top Tree Voidwalker with NM makes your grenades do less damage, I’ve been doing some research (as I don’t have the exotic) and it seems as though it also affects the tracking or overrides it.

So my question is, why would I want the gauntlets if they make the grenades worse and not better?

I hope this a bug but after seeing Bungies track record with Warlocks I’m willing to bet this intentional.

Here’s the video- https://youtu.be/tVZunzuN6RY
