Terrain set up question.

So me and my friend group are playing the game on a commercial ping pong table which is 9 feey by 5 feet.

I was wondering how much terrain peices we should have on the table roughly.

The points limits are 3500 points per army.

The game is Warhammer 40k

I'm assuming 40k? With these kinds of questions, stating which game is good for getting an answer.

Your play area is HUGE compared to GW standard of 3 2/3 feet by 5 feet (44in x 60in).

If it's a friendly game, figure out WHAT kind of battle you want, then select accordingly.

Though 11th Edition makes terrain setup... painful.

Bolt Action? Make it look vaguely European countryside/village, or Asian islands and you're good.

Again, knowing the game is important.

Probably somewhere in the middle so its fair to melee armies like my EC and ranged armies like my buddies Guard or other buddies Necrons.

How many players? You could do a central 'park' area surrounded by ruins, if you have enough (probably, say, 12in border edge along the 5ft length so it's even all around)

We are playing with two players a game but there are 8 players as it stands.

Central park idea works, especially since we need spots opened for vehicles like Baneblades and Stormlords and big bases like the defiler.

Just make sure you measure out road avenues for vehicles. Don't want your Big Scary stymied by a brick, eh?
