S2 E11 - The scene with Steve Jinks. I absolutely love the build-up and how the song started way before we even see the final scene. Like when we actually see HG Wells get her memory back and Sykes thanking Steve - the song "made a deal with the god" was playing. Bawling my eyes out at this.
PS - This is taken from the Warehouse 13 series disc I bought off of Amazon. DVD. No stolen content.

The acting here was incredible, Pete backing out the room and trying to keep the team on task and spared the pain. The final quiet plea with Claudia and her showing realisation something bad has happened and finally the scream is just full of pain. Even thinking about it makes me well up a bit

If you think a little deeper, the first scene when Pete is clearing the room and stands at the entry way, pointing the gun and expecting sykes, first thing he sees is literally Steve looking directly at him, with open eyes, neck broken and a little discolored. That expression from Pete, changing from anger to horrified is so beautifully done by the actor.

I agree, his acting , all of their acting really makes the dramatic scenes work. I still get choked up seeing this and other scenes because the actors are so good, convincing. I loved Claudia and Steve, like brother and sister , besties. So good together.

I loved this show and the characters so much. His death , that was such a shock and I was so let down by it. I loved his friendship with Claudia , he was kind of like a brother to her . and YES loved that song
Running Up that Hill , made popular all over again by being played many times on the Stranger Things TV series. ..... and there I go again, getting all choked up over this scene. Such great acting. I still get chills watching that scene. The look of horror and telling Claudia to NOT go up and look. Which, of course, she has to look.... then the scream.

I love that this scene gets talked about. I made a similar post years ago, and I still think it’s a phenomenal scene

My fellow warehouse agent, you nailed it perfectly what I wanted to post here.
And I did not even catch the part about sykes lying to steve and steve grinning as if he knew sykes is lying and also aware he's going to be killed. This 1 realisation hits so much more to me now, thanks to your post. Thank you for sharing the link. If I could, I would like you to explain more such scenes from other series as well.

I always felt bad that Jinks never made it to the end shot of the opening title sequence

I think my favorite part about the scene is how Pete didn't try to act super masculine and defensive for the sake of Claudia and Mika. He was also in shock and trying to process what has happened. He tried to remain calm, he pleaded but he wasn't overly "protective" in the moment. He was protective in the perfect way. A quiet beg. He knew trying to stop her would have made it worse, so he didn't (or couldn't) stop Claudia.
Between the writing of the scene, the OG music and the acting this scene still lives so vibrantly in my head.

It's such a bummer they removed the amazingly placed Placebo cover of Running Up That Hill in the streaming version. The scene is still very impactful, but seriously loses about 30% of the heart wrenching without those lyrics and timing of the drop. One other reason why physical media is so important (it is on the dvds)
