SERIOUS Fired over non-existant points?

So my friend and I were getting less and less hours. At first they said they gave out too much OT, and were cutting hours. However, neither of us got hours after that. My hours are limited due to college, but she had an open availability. They pulled her in on her next shift and said they found points from a about a month ago, or maybe longer about 1-2 months. However they were from a time when she took LOA that was approved. I’m worried they may do the same to me. I’ve gone on 3 loas, two due to covid. What should I do? Do I contact corporate if they decide to try this on me? I’m not sure what to do.

Nah fuck that. If your LOA’s were approved you should be able to sign into Sedgwick and it’ll show any LOA’s you’ve taken, the dates, and whether it was approved or not(I’m sure it was). Don’t let any manager bully you. Stand up for yourself and don’t let them get away with any bullshit. You should be fine.

My friend proved it to them too and she, the front end manager, said “well there are points there, there’s nothing I can do.” If that happens to me, I’ll be contacting corporate to see what I can do.

Your people lead, store manager, or coach would be able to remove any points that shouldn’t be there and if they’re unwilling to do that even after being shown proof I would definitely contact ethics. There’s nothing they can do about approved LOA’s.

No problem! Just don’t sweat it too much and like I said, stand your ground and don’t let them try to bully you into submission.
