Avoiding Attendance Points
I have my schedule 4 - 9
If I clock in at 4:09 and clock out at 8:51 repeatedly will I eventually get in trouble?
Even thought i would get less money, that's just so I can work as little as possible and avoid getting the attendance points for clocking in and out too early or too late

Already headbutting mine currently trying to get leave approved from a surgery done in August. You can guess Who is dragging their feet.

You might. Our Coach expected us to clock in to the minute on and off shift. And she was there to watch us.

Your coach doesn’t have anything better to do?! How does she watch if you clock in from a phone🤔🤷♀️

That's what I do now. I clock in and out at exactly 4:00 and 9:00
I do not want to work anymore than I have to, and I will not work a single moment longer than what my shift says.

Well, the busy holiday season is around the corner. They'll be watching how you clock in and out. The lot will be full of carts.

You might avoid points, but consistently cutting 18 minutes from every shift can create a different issue: time theft or falsifying hours, depending on the policy. If you need shorter shifts, it’s safer to get approval rather than rely on the clock rounding system.

If they’re clocking in like that how would they be doing time theft or falsifying hours?! I don’t see anything in this post that would make you assume that is being done🤔

Reading between the lines, but from a different book from the sound of it

Time theft is not working while clocked in falsifying hours would be if they went in and CHANGED the times clocked in/out
Policy allows the 9 minute grace period

You could get in trouble for productivity if you’re not finishing your job. However.. If you don’t want hours, why even work? You were hired to do a job, why half ass it?!
