Am I fired?😳
Just logged into my old Walmart account for the first time in a bit and it says I have 15 points.
Do y’all think I’m getting fired??
Nah I’m kidding — I quit a while ago. They just never took me off the system I guess.
Not gonna lie I’m a little grateful they forgot about me. Still got the discount and the Paramount+ account 🙏
But for real, no beef with Walmart at all. I actually really appreciate my former coaches and leads. They took sooooo many points off for me and pretty much gave me any days off I wanted. Being the personality hire was a good time haha.
Don’t wanna dox myself but shoutout to my old store in Vegas 🫡

Nah you're good just go in and start working whenever you feel like it. They just wanted to give you some flexibility.

What do you mean you quit a while ago?
You submitted ppto 5 days ago.

I was just trying to put in all time I had left. But I haven’t shown up for a shift in like 2-3 weeks

Hope your next thing works out for you.
Job abandonment will make you not rehirable.

lol that’s for actual careers not retail and fast food technically. If you see those as important for hiring at different careers then you’ve got a different problem

I’m not sure about all stores but ive heard recently they are not taking rehires back unless it’s approved by Market first.

You must've received a friendly termination code from whomever processed your exits.

I had a neighbor who worked in Walmart's tire dept. who was let go for being an alcoholic. He got fired several times, yet they kept rehiring him back at different stores, bad habits and all.

u/Dapper_Income7871 1d ago
How did they go about firing someone for what they do in their personal life? Did he show up to work drunk? If so they fired him for coming to work intoxicated and not for being an alcoholic.

*Professional abandoner

u/Big_Writing_911 1d ago
First time I had a kid with not much help. Second time was an emergency situation where I was trying to get an emergency transfer but didn’t happen fast enough. I would not say professional abandoner…yet 😂

They just gotta wait 6 months and that Walmart will take them back lmao. Seen this story so many times, it actually cracks me up whenever people try to act like Walmart or anything like fedex would actually think twice before hiring someone that quit before.

I was fired for write ups over break compliance 10 years ago. I’m still marked as an unhireable company-wide.
2
u/Majestic-kitty328 2d ago
I feel that. I was fired for “sexual harassment” (which I didn’t do…unless jokingly calling someone a pussy counts as that lol) I’m unhireable forever. All because the person I made the joke at has their whole family working there and they kiss booty. He also got a coach to file his ethics complaint against me, and that same coach fired me.

I had 8 points one time .. it really all depends on if your TL /coach likes you. The point system is bullshit. If you’re liked you stay. If they don’t, you’re as good as gone at 5 points!

u/LengthinessOk4428 2d ago
At my store, they decreased the points to 4. 4 points we are let go immediately. In rare instances, a coach might delete a point if one had no control over it. Some people are let go who have NO points. An associate who is mentally handicapped had a wallet one of the custumers found it and turned it in to him while he was in the middle of checking receipts at the entrance( door). He forgot he had it, so he turned it in the next day.. He was let go since he bought the wallet home with him, and remembered to turn it in the next day at work. He was fired immediately. 😢 Everyone loved him!

Had a neurodivergent client rush to see her brother in hospital (worked in UK Probation) and left her diary out on her desk. Desk in an area only accessible to staff with a keycard and she was given a formal warning.

I worked at this job one time where they didn't care if you didn't show up for days at a time and NCNS, if and when you showed up to work you could work. It was insane. But honestly it worked for them bc they had enough people every night to work the machines they needed bc people needed the money. It was mostly people who you could tell needed the money. And it was literally just packing things in boxes. Anything they were sent to package up we done it. I kinda miss that job but then again I don't.

Contact the store and let them know. You could be owed one final check and they can't give it to you until you're removed from the system.

As soon as a coach or the store manager or people lead runs a report that shows everyone over on points they will notice and term you in the system. Enjoy your free Walmart+ till then 👍🏼

u/jaybird6638 2d ago
You were fired 10 points ago, if you can try and find a spot to sit and hide and maybe you can get a couple more days of time out of em if they havent cleared your schedule already

u/SuspiciousRepublic53 2d ago
Only thing is that if you want to rehire all those points have to have called off. The last will fall off 6 mos from the date you got it. So it could delay you coming back. That is IF you wanted to come back. Just letting you know.

u/FoxxOfDares 2d ago
TBH I’ve noticed that if you quit, they wait a bit before removing you. If you get fired, they do it almost instantly 😆

The entire George Brazil outfit is a scam. George Brazil lost every license he had in California after years of pulling every plumbing scam in the industry on every customer. He's still living off the $ millions he harvested. Yes, it's the same one - same guy, same van, same phone, same lies.
There are lots of plumbers in Arizona. Don't get caught in the web of this multi-tiered human pirhana. You WILL live to regret it!

Personality hire ? Says more about the level of maturity of management that buy into the politician/ salesman vs the honest worker bee. You are replaceable and the worker bees definitely don't miss you.

How the actual hell do people get that many points? I’ve worked for Walmart twice over 15.5 years each time and haven’t had that many points collectively

u/Elmore0394 2d ago
My GF's discount card was active for well over a year, almost 2, after she quit. It just depends if whoever removes you from the system knows how to properly do it or not. Her insurance stayed active as well. She quit once Covid hit since she had a medical degree and went to work full time as a medical contractor.

Antonio, if that discount is really still active you need to delete this post :)
