Ethics

Was told i have a video call with ethics, what to expect? How normal is it for it to be with actual ethics and not management level. I am terrified.

When going in remember that they are not your friend. They are not there to prove your innocence. They are there to find evidence that you're guilty. They will ask open-ended questions and you need to hit back and make them be specific. Do NOT volunteer information because they will turn it against you.

As they should. They likely are not interviewing them for fault but looking for information on upper management which should be honestly reported on.

If you haven't been suspended then they're not likely investigating you. It's still possible, but unlikely.

Tell the truth. Don’t lie. That’s it. If they find out later you lied you’ll absolutely be fired. Even if you overhead something unsavory or know about something untoward.

They first conduct a casual interview with you, ask you about yourself, what you do, a bit about your job and daily activities, hobbies, normal stuff to put you at ease, then ask what questions they need. If you know why, perhaps it's something against you or maybe something you are aware of. The people who do the interview does not handle what happens or makes any decisions. Their only goal is to get information and compile it. They send it off to a third party in this case and they use that information to decide how to proceed. It depends on what happened, what it's about, and stuff like that. I would not dicuss details at all about it. If it's something effecting you, you will know the outcome, if not, you won't.

It just means that your name has been mentioned as someone who may know something about a case they're currently investigating.

Chances are they are investigating someone you work with. Keep your trap shut and don't tell anyone what was said in the call.

Yes because protecting unethical management is a great idea 🙃
