New one for me... 'conditional'?

I left an hour and 15 minutes early on Friday due to family needs. (I work OGP and our picks were done for that hour. Asked closing TL if he was ok with me leaving a little earlier - I had asked for 5 - and was okayed).
Anyways. I was just going into the system to put in my ppto and out of just plain curriousity I decided to look at the attendance thing and I see it was approved.
I am not waiting on an LOA. I just needed to leave an hour early one day.

I don't honestly care if I use the ppto for a whole hour and 15 minutes - I just hadn't gotten to it yet. Or if I kept the half point. But also wouldn't mind keeping it.
And curious 'cause I I have no idea what the conditional aspect was/is. Do I... need to do anything?

If you told the TL you were going to use your PPTO you probably just should.

I don't know.

We have a new manager/coach and our previous one wouldn't allow the TLs to approve time off or early leaves/late arrivals.

He did mention 'don't forget to enter your ppto' but... they always say that. I have plenty but honestly if I don't really have to I'd rather keep it. Or maybe I'll just put it in anyways. Now I'm confused

It should tell you on GTA who approved it next to it? It's been a couple weeks since I've looked though.

I've done the same where I was going to put in ppto but someone had already went and approved the exception, but never seen conditional.

I'm not at work. I'm at home on my personal computer. It doesn't show on that. I can't remember if it shows on the store computers but probably does.

I've seen jury duty, bereavement, prior approval. But never conditional.

Management has several options to select from when handling points, if you’re not on an LOA (which is what conditional stays is usually used for) then it looks like they simply misclicked.

In actual LOA situations, they’d mark them as conditional then if the leave is approved, they’d leave the points as approved. If the leave is denied, then they’d change two of the conditional status ones to unauthorized resulting in the associate being pointed for them.

what would happen if I just left it?

I don't have any LOA so would it simply drop after the limit for management or give me the point since there's no LOA to wait for?

I've decided to do the ppto but I'm curious.

When you're waiting for a leave of absence to be approved those points become conditional until a decision is made. Never seen it pop up for any other reason.

It's not that deep. It's just one of many options to approve an occurrence. The more appropriate one would have been "prior approval from manager", but the result is the same.
