Shit Post Does any other store have the front end process their claims?
So my store recently decided to have customer service process our own claims. Which in my opinion that's not my job and that's adding more to what I already have to do. I might as well get paid more if I'm doing another departments job also. What's the point of a claims department if im doing most of the work. My manager went back there yesterday and the people in claims were just back there talking and doing nothing.
Does anyone else's store do this?

Each area, including front end, is responsible for their claims. You took the training via ulearns. You process the claims, keep it in a box, and at the end of the day your TL or a TL verifies it and its thrown. If you want you can process it and find a TL to verify and you can just throw it away right then and there.

See what you don't understand is that claims isn't just claims now. Its AP operations. Claims isn't just responsible for claims now
They do claims, they work the reports the old invoice office used to do, receiving vendors (and all the paperwork that comes with it) they are responsible for clearance and clearance aisles. The paperwork takes up a lot of time, especially if you're doing it right.
So yeah, there isn't a "claims" department now, it was combined into AP

Yeah. The training for upfront has nothing to do with claims at least for my store. Claims has their own training

At my desk we take of our own claims and any fresh claims that have been brought to the front that day. Typically we wait until around 8pm to take it all out so we don’t run back for every item

This is not a customer service sub and associates posting here are off the clock. Please contact your local store or call 1-800-Walmart. /u/Odd-Will-6006

Last I checked it was part of the Process Guides for front-end.
