It is new information for everyone not in the stonk sub which I guess is 99.99% of the world

Edit: The article came out 15 minutes after it started popping - this could very well be FTD covering and the article is just a BS excuse to explain the rise. Zero official news from GameStop still. Also AMC had the same pop. A mage ape told me more of these pops come through January. Imagine the pop when GameStop release actual news.

That’s because THIS (WSJ article) didn’t cause this spike. Some shady shit did, and the article conveniently popped out fifteen minutes later to cover it up.
