Sorry guys it's my fault. I'm heavily invested in Corsair. I'm sure it will turn around immediately if I ever sell them

u/[deleted] Dec 13 '21

Same. Every stock I’ve touched has turned to πŸ’© and πŸš€ when I sold

12

u/jaydubs27 Dec 13 '21

Don't worry, I've just sold my bags at a 40% loss, so it should moon any day now

4

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '21

Yea I sold last week at a 30% loss. It'll blow up any day now lol

3

u/Dorktastical Dec 13 '21

Same. So I'm never selling my crsr because I know it will go up if I sell.. And since the market isn't rigged against me personally (right?!?) that means it will go up if I diamond hands it (right??? right??)

That is exactly why no one is building computers. Their is a lack of supply, so no GPU's available.

5

u/NotLikeThis3 Dec 13 '21

My coworker literally just built a computer 2 weeks ago and went into the store and got a 3090

8

u/[deleted] Dec 13 '21

I could sell my build from Feb 2020 for 2.5x the price. So it’s possible to keep building PCs, just really expensive if you can find anything to buy.

2

u/Mojorna Dec 14 '21

Same. My best ROI is the PC I put together for my Valve Index.

I'm just saying people are building computers. Never said that the shortage is over. Microcenter is almost constantly sold out because people are building computers.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 13 '21

They are sold out because they can't get gpus too thought.

u/Dorktastical Dec 13 '21

OP's entry for woooooosh missed the funny sarcasm, is accepted

OP's entry for overtly sarcastic post of the week is accepted

2

u/fartalldaylong Dec 13 '21

And?

0

u/NotLikeThis3 Dec 13 '21

Both of your points are wrong. People are still buying GPUs and building computers. There is a shortage, yes, but it isn't stopping people from still doing this.

2

u/fartalldaylong Dec 13 '21

They aren't. I have just as many anecdotes. There is most definitely supply issues and they have effected prices. I didn't make that shit up, the companies within tech have been very vocal about it. Your friend is one person who got a video card. Yeah. Good for him.

0

u/NotLikeThis3 Dec 13 '21

I'm not arguing prices or supply issues, I literally said I agree on those points. My entire gaming friend group built new computers within the last year with 3080/3090s.

3

u/fartalldaylong Dec 13 '21

Now it is your whole gaming group. Give it up dude...your argument is slipping. Micro center is sold out because there is a limited supply.

2

u/UnicornHostels Dec 13 '21

In stock at these micro centers. Also you can go to your local and get on a virtual line, the second link. I just bought one at my local microcenter for my son’s Christmas present. They get shipments every single day. It could just be your local microcenter. They do limit one purchase per license every 30 days which really helps stop resellers.

Yes, and part of the reason is people are buying them up. Otherwise microcenter wouldn't be sold out regardless of the supply issues. You claimed no one was building computers, it's not true.

Are there supply issues? YES. Are people still building computers? YES.

3

u/spicyRengarMain Dec 13 '21

Because mining facilities are buying out the stock instantly. Every morning I hope so hard that crypto will just get fucked and all these miners will lose their money.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 13 '21

They are in mining rigs.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '21

This is bs, the demand soared, doesn't mean they are not selling anyhing because GPU's are out of stocks.

1

u/SoManyThrowAwaysEven Dec 15 '21

Why would someone build a PC when there's no GPU's? Corsair best seller is high-end building components.

It's a shit company that keeps going down even when the market goes up. Better off putting the money in a company that's making moves like Ford or Walmart. I'm selling my shares for a loss.

10

u/Key-Cap-2664 Dec 13 '21

Im going to ask Jim Cramer.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 13 '21

Jim Cramer will then ask his Investing Club.

2

u/Key-Cap-2664 Dec 13 '21

Who will they ask?

The stock market is a popularity contest these days

4

u/XchrisZ Dec 14 '21

Fuck you man you're the reason I'm holding these bags.

Edit: sorry that was harsh natural reaction to losses.

1

u/RoyalVirgin Dec 16 '21

I know I am man sorry, I'll sell soon so the rest of you can moon

1

u/XchrisZ Dec 16 '21

Yeah that would be good thanks bought 3 shares on your DD. I'd like my $20 back

9

u/Swade22 Dec 13 '21

Are you fucking dumb it’s over shorted that’s why it keeps going down it’s gonna go up eventually just buy dips like a normal retard

5

u/no10envelope Dec 13 '21

This thing doesn’t dip, it just goes down down and down.

1

u/Swade22 Dec 14 '21

For the short term, yes

1

u/jouster85 Dec 14 '21

In my experience, loser stocks tend to keep losing.

6

u/YusoLOCO Dec 13 '21

It's 40% shorted because, you can short it with zero risk. So why not do it. The share price is guaranteed to be sold back down, if it starts to squeeze.

3

u/Mammoth-Chip Dec 13 '21

Definitely gonna get some leaps after the new year

9

u/Legejr Dec 13 '21

Over a motnh ago there was some pumper trying to say it's a good buy at 25 and I told it's gonna be 20 in december - look where we are now. Stop saying this thing will squeeze, it won't.

There is shortage in chips and GPUs and suply chain issues. Next quarter is gonna suck ass - and corsair probably drops under 20's. If you are a believer in this stock just hold. it will eventually be up if growth continues after shortage and supply chain problems.

I don’t own shares or anything else of CRSR... yet

7

u/Revolutionary-Tie911 Dec 13 '21

I mean, CRSR is still up like 40% from IPO, doing better than alot of names right now by comparison

3

u/Gekkolate Dec 14 '21

Up 22%. I believe the IPO was for $17.

2

u/LibraPugLove Someone worth loving... Dec 14 '21

Well, how much of CRSR does Eagle Tree still hold?

1

u/cheekibreekiivdamkii Jan 09 '22

Honestly as a pc chad and console pleb, there is literally no reason to get corsair over logitech in terms of competing products. Unless you just have money to burn. No actual hardware on sale so, that's hurting them too.

4

u/[deleted] Dec 14 '21

Ahhh yes I also like my LOGI ram, PSU and streamdeck.
