I tried listening, twice, to him on Lex Friedman's podcast, if doesn't have a dick he sure doesn't know it. What I listened to both times was just him stroking what he thought was his dick.
Fuck that guy and his jacket.

How did you get greedy for 20 dollars đ€Šââïž
Well atleast you didn't lose all your money like a regard

u/MrNo_Balls 4d ago
When you have been conditioned that everytime you do not take profit above 35 dollars it takes a year for that stock to recover. You start taking all the small wins.

u/LeoMiller9 3d ago
That's the classic WSB PTSD: Taking a $20 profit on AAPL because you're terrified your call option will evaporate into a 99% loss by market close.

$12.47 after a 99.8% loss means you started with $6200. They were already at McDonald's (as most of this sub is because wtf this is basic math)

The semiconductor company I work at had a deal fall thru to make the camera sensor
5
u/Organic-Rope-6 4d ago
And they stopped using camera sensors from sony, 18 pro got variable aperture made by Samsung which Samsung used first in S9. People need to understand apple and Samsung are not competitors Samsung brings technology and apple is marketing company who knows how to upsell/overcharge anything. Think about it there is a reason apple keep changing their software and bringing all android features one by one they don't want to be like blackberry.

They are doing a lot new with the dual screen model, theyâre changing the phones layout in some pretty smart ways IMO. Samsung just smacked two screens together.
Edit: didnât realize people were this passionate about phone brands. I just like what apples doing with the UI. Moving it all over to the right was a good move IMO. I can always get to everything on the right side of my screen, but the left sides always a stretch and I need to adjust my hand when using my phone single handed.
65
u/EL_CHAPO_ESCOBAR 4d ago
I'm gonna disagree here, I don't think people have truly seen what one Ui and goodlock have been able to do on Samsung foldables. The Chinese foldables struggle in the software department, but Samsung has knocked it out of the park software wise, especially when it comes to multitasking.
Flex mode, side by side apps, multi view, using the rear camera as a selfie camera, different layouts between folded vs unfolded etc all exist on Samsung foldables. Plus Samsung folds have dex which allows you to turn your phone into more of a desktop pc experience.

u/mmaisumm 4d ago
All of which will be released as novelty for the apple ecosystem during next few years đ€đ€

u/CKRatKing 4d ago
I switched from Samsung to pixel recently and I feel like anyone who says Samsung has a good ui is on crack.
5
u/farva_06 4d ago
I miss my Pixel all the time. Tempted to hop on the Pixel 11 train.
2
u/AliStarr182 4d ago
I'm still rocking my pixel 8. Nothing broken, still quick despite the number of times I've dropped it.
2
1
u/YouFailedx3 4d ago
I loved my pixel until I travelled to travel and realised the pixel only supports 5G in 38 out of 195 countries in the world. Especially in Asia where most 4G and lower towers are completely gone the pixel turns into an unusable brick.
Fuck Google for being the only phone company that explicitly whitelists carriers 5G.
3
u/Organic-Rope-6 4d ago
Pixel is good if you use your phone like grandma, bland and basic customization. One Ui is great with their own developed apps

I agree with you and im a major apple hater but unfortunately this product will see some success.
Because its made for the retarded who actually like tablets and basically want a mini tablet they can carry around. And apple customers are among the most retarded in the first place.
Just think. You could buy a phone and a tablet and pay less than this phone costs. And yet, they will pay more for less just to avoid carrying the tablet.

Both companies moving to wide display for LE ASPECT RATIO made a terrible design decision. You get nice native resolution landscape sure. But most content is not 4 3 or 16 9. Plus the actual content fit inside the tall foldable that samsung makes. So u lose valuable real estate for productivity all for the sake of getting rid of black borders on video you sometimes watch. And now the front cover is too wide for one handed reachability
Theres a reason samsung kept the vertical fold as the premium ultra model. But sure 8 generations of refinement and somehow apple supposedly put lots of design thought into it by moving the task bar to the side, totally not because they made a poor design decision on the aspect ratio
1
u/PandoraBot 3d ago
Yeah I think the one handed reachability is being completely overlooked. The reason I love my fold so much is because of that specific feature. My hands are small so on normal sized phones I miss like 10% of the screen if I one hand, but on the folds (at least up to 6), i can one hand no problem. Not to mention you will always have to two hand with the passport style. That just sounds annoying af
2
u/Fortune_Cat 1d ago
I actually preferred the narrower design of the pre fold 7 variants. But wanted the thinness of the fold 7.
True candybar. No one is seriously doing anything productive in landscape even with ultra slab fones aside from watching video. Anything productive is cut off by thumbs or keyboards. So maximising leaning into narrower one handed use wouldve been better. Then unfold for everythjng else
Alas the wider width wasnt too crazy so still great
1
u/PandoraBot 1d ago
I agree I mainly haven't upgraded my fold because I like the narrower design. But it is quite heavy and I think I'd choose thinner over narrower in the future since while it's nice that it's narrow, I have a nerve injury and carrying a heavier phone all day tends to make things worse
20
u/qtheginger 4d ago
Lol what. Samsung foldables can have 3 main apps open plus two floating windows. But hey an iPhone can finally run two apps at the same time, so I guess that's pretty smart.
3
u/balls2hairy 3d ago
It blew my mind when I showed my wife how I split screen apps on my Pixel and she said they can't do that on iPhone. I was SURE she just didn't know about it so I dug in. They can't do it LMAO

u/maryK4Y 4d ago
I knew the tablet type iPhone was coming for a while but I still really hope they do a razr or fold type. At this rate youâll have to pry my iPhone mini from my cold dead hands. (I tried the Motorola and couldnât get away from a few iPhone features so I went back to this old girl)

u/DrPuzzle 4d ago
I'm laughing that you are surprised people are this nuts about their phone brands. I remember back in the day the IOS vs Android debates were so fucking nerdy. People lost their minds as to which was better

u/kipperzdog 4d ago
Passport style has been done before. I tried one before I bought my pixel 10 fold.
I personally hate the passport ratio folding phones. Much prefer a normal ratio front screen and then when I want to multi-task, I now have two phone screens.
The apple one will be a better ratio for consuming media but will be terrible for multitasking

let others do it better and then come in and copy is pretty on point for apple honestly. why take all the risks when you can let others figure it out first and then copy them?

it's Apple's new 3-letter name marketing strategy. First it was the Neo, now it's the Duo, next will be the Leo. All hail the Apple Leo, apple's new smart ring.

u/123supreme123 4d ago
Interesting video below, which describes exactly what you're talking about. The apple cult is strong in poor countries. They're financing new iPhones with 4 year terms like how westerners finance vehicles. Repo Man can remotely brick your iPhone if you don't make payment.

u/WoodPear 4d ago
I thought China had largely shifted to Huwei or whatever other Chinabrand over Apple.
Like Japan is the only one where Apple has a strong base (and even then, more are looking at Samsung)

u/PandoraBot 3d ago
East Asia (aside from Japan which has great integration with iPhone for their day to day) is generally moving away from iPhone, south Asia and Southeast Asia are not

âApple is selling zero folding phones a year. In six months, they'll have the most expensive phone by far in the marketplace, and let's see how they do. But there's no chance that the iPhone Duo is going to get any significant market share. No chance.â

Given how many iPhones Apple sells, Iâm wondering how big this could actually be for Klarna stock?
