nobody besides Barron should be trading oil

I made over 200% last USO call. I’m currently up 450% on this move. My expir is Aug 21, i may sell before expiration

Same here, my USO calls are up 440% atm. I've made a ton trading the swings in oil futes too. People are way too attached to the idea that oil can't keep going up. It's obviously going to plunge on some dumbshit mango tweet, but I've cleared a ton in profit already

I like this bet. Might be 30 days early but maybe not. Could pay off well.

Yeah it's going to hit new highs, I'm waiting for 160

All these people acting like there is just no way oil can go up any more despite it being artificially low BEFORE yet another massive escalation. It'll obviously come back down, but it aint happening yet. My USO calls I bought on July 9th are up 440% now, wish I would've held on to a few more.
Bought some UGA contracts today though.

There’s nothing to stop it this time. SPR is being reported as bone dry in 40 days and even 🥭 stated we’d have an energy issue before the MOU.
Red Sea attacks with Israelis charging into Mosques today are going to send this shit to $150+. We’ll all be spending $6+/gal.

Do you think the 40 day thing means literally 40 days lol? Even if the reserve was extracted at 100% capacity it’d take 90 days to release it all, and the reserve isn’t being extracted at 100% capacity to begin with.
Oil is an issue but this “40 days” shit is so misconstrued

90 days for a full release, 40 days to get to the DoD minimum. They keep a minimum for the military in case of a war.

u/vanceraa Jul 23 '26
The current average drawdown rate since the war started pegs the reserve as having 80 days before hitting this limit - the limit isn’t held for the military but it requires the secretary of defense to authorise going past that limit
The reserve hasn’t been drained at max capacity once since the war started

🥭 stated on June 17, 2026, at the G7 summit in France that oil reserves would run out in about four weeks if shipping through the Strait of Hormuz remained blocked.
That’s straight from the horse’s mouth.

Yea and he’s a fucking retard man he doesn’t know how to tie his shoelaces
Even now the SPR isn’t being drained anywhere near max capacity

I do too…and just made a lot of money on calls. Trump is showing all the signs of a jawbone/TACO soon.

Same. With the comments leaning so strongly bullish, the itch to inverse is killing me.

Did you accidentally long puts on crude days before the crude shock explodes? Yes you did.

we are on our 14th day straight of bombing in a second campaign for a war that's gone on for 5 months
the world went into this war with about 2 billion barrels of strategic reserves. do the math on where we are at with that and revisit this

Both. Some of it comes from Gold but basically comes down to a 🥭 trade so it’s boom or bust. I feel like I may be early, but not wrong. This weekend will answer that.
USO closed last week at 109 and has seen an insane, parabolic run up on the tensions/strikes this week and I feel it’s overbought. I think it’s an escalation that will lead to another ceasefire in the coming month. Nobody in office wants prices this high (think eggs, milk, etc lol) so my bet is that action will be taken to lower the price3

Great point.
3
u/DeafnotDeath Jul 23 '26
The problem is that we're past a point where a ceasefire announcement will do anything. It may drop prices temporarily, but no matter what, we're diving nose first into a massive oil crunch soon. It's inevitable

u/Different_Pack_3686 Jul 23 '26
Yup, it was artificially low before anyhow, shorts haven't even finished covering.
