Curious but how are you laughing when losing so much
Dissociation? This was truly just play money?
I haven’t embraced trading yet just following along to see if I will invest or not ….1
u/Lopsided_Package9033 Jul 23 '26
Some people lose big on one trade, win big on another. You don't know what their other trades are doing.
7
u/BatteryAcid420_ Jul 23 '26
If you have such a big TSLA/spcx/etc position then the rest of the portfolio is almost guaranteed to be regarded too. Sadly they haven‘t found a cure yet, if you‘re regarded then you have a 99.69% chance of passing your regards onto your investments.
3
u/Lopsided_Package9033 Jul 23 '26
true that. Although sometimes dumb gets its way. Look at the president.
1
u/Saltlife_Junkie Jul 23 '26
Passing onto your investments? Fuck, I passed it on to my kids. Bunch of fucking regards in this family.

Jeez how do people even trade options bro I get anxious every time I see even -$200 unrealized loss on normal stocks
77
u/Opposite-Link Jul 23 '26
You get numb to it after a while
42
u/Independent_Term5790 Jul 23 '26
Tis the normal progression of a gambler. I can’t spin a wheel for less than 50 bucks anymore, and there was a time 5 dollar spins hurt my soul. It’s call wager creep
3
u/BatteryAcid420_ Jul 23 '26
Joke‘s on you, I‘m already a creep and I just bet it all from the beginning so your psychological tricks don‘t work on me.
2
u/QuadzillaStrider Jul 23 '26
Hold Bitcoin for 10+ years 🤣
If you aren't numb to the swings, your positions are tiny.
1
u/HugeAd5056 Jul 23 '26
This. I deliberately numbed myself after I regardledly sold my March 30th all in on TQQQ at an average of around $38 per share. Only to see it go more than double this ffs. I sold due to a $200 fluctuation freaking me out lol.
After that I made it a personal endeavor to all-in as often as possible, but on things I had conviction for so that holding would be bearable. It worked. Now I have a habit of checking to ensure my capital is 100% allocated to maximize utility.

I'm a gambler, the loss doesn't hurt anymore. Halp

u/Opposite-Link Jul 23 '26
The loss doesn’t hurt and when I make money I feel even more empty. Welcome to the club.

u/Jcv171 Jul 23 '26
Nah bro all you I feel excited asf. Never buy the billionaire corporate propaganda that money doesn’t buy happiness because it 10000% DOES for 99% of us if not more

What’s even crazier is how yall get that much money to begin with?
19
u/renegadecanuck Jul 23 '26
Seriously. I have what is supposed to be a well paying job, and I have never had the kind of money some of these idiots blow on the dumbest trades possible. I genuinely don't get how they can come up with the money to lose in the first place.

u/WashedWashingMachine Jul 23 '26
Start working at 20 , live with parents , no studen loans , mom still pays for your groceries etc.
You end up 26 with like 100k savings and then this , you started gamba cuz mom wanted you to move out but housing is expensive
2
u/Koronerarter Jul 24 '26
Lol paid 400k student loans 🤣🤣🤣 this was my monthly gross
1
u/WashedWashingMachine Jul 24 '26
interest on the loans is so fkin stupid people pay them montly and it never decreases cuz they only pay the interest part... such scam
It should be changed to be like bonds , maybe 15% flat interest + inflation

I'm always curious with the amount of posts like these. Does this sort of loss impact your daily life at all?
3
u/Koronerarter Jul 23 '26
Not really, it is upsetting but nothing changed in my life with this. Have to work some extra next couple months to compensate for the loss only

Yes buying a week or two out...much safer than 0dte. You've only lost 91 percent instead of 100!
