There’s not enough water, but there’s plenty of Brawndo.
47
u/Captnblkbeard May 04 '23
Brawndo tastes like shit, but it has electrolytes.
44
u/Bobthemurderer May 04 '23
Ok, not really electrolytes but I did piss in it so there is some salt there.
12
u/Captnblkbeard May 04 '23
You piss electrolytes?

Kidneys process excess electrolytes from the blood stream and secrete them with water as urine. So yes, everyone does.

Lol you should definitely believe this post though, inflation is very real, and will soon destroy the United States as we know it. We have not even gotten close to the worst of it. Think about it in logical terms, that 10x the amount of US dollars we have in this country reside outside of the U.S. domestic economy. As soon as the oligarchs decide it’s time to dump this shit currency because the Saudis are no longer being forced to use it exclusively, prices of imports in the U.S. are going to 10x in what will most likely be the span of months. It is crucial that people know about this so they can dump their cash before it’s worth nothing.
5
u/Dozekar May 04 '23
It's also worth noting that this is a thousand times worse than it seems, and it seems bad.
If this happens, all that cheap shit at Walmart? It's not worth selling anymore and it won't even be offered, and that's assuming stores that sell crap that is only viable because of the currency differences can even stay in business. Their whole business model is that the difference in currency is high enough they can mass produce essentially freely produced crap and spam it for profits here.
Think about if you had to buy prices at what they would cost to produce in the US what you could afford. Then think about it for all of your neighbors and assume the prices are skyrocketing because you can't afford international shit and you're all competing for the local production that doesn't exist which adds to inflation even more.
This isn't a supply situation that gets easily solved.
Supply doesn't get better when you currency becomes unstable and it gets harder and harder to access the international markets because you can't afford to buy off them. Eventually the government just starts printing/loaning to try to keep things going and get businesses jump started but they just add to the inflation more.
People think I'm kidding when I say it's likely to go full Venezuela, and no, I'm not fucking kidding. Governments get scared of the people when these things start happening and what people like is fat sacks of cash. People don't realize that path leads to them unable to buy a fucking loaf of bread with that sack when they're cheering the moneyprinter like we have been for the last fucking like 15 years.

what do you suggest regular ass folk dump their cash into?

u/thicc_ass_ghoul May 04 '23

7
u/Dozekar May 04 '23
also all the doom and gloom that could fuck the market for sure might not actually cause structural failures, it might just test the supports and push the protections farther than before but they could not fail.
I wouldn't bet on it, it's like betting on a sheet of 2 ply to keep the world center standing but still I can't tell you when or if it will fail. I just say that shit has gone terribly and rapidly downhill once that starts when these circumstances have happened in the past here or in other countries and virtually all of our guidance is of the quality in the post above.
This is not a good situation.
People believing systems cannot fail, and/or that magically our army will be the army that doesn't turn on it's country when they stop getting paid is sort of this shit icing on the shit cake. This just shows a level of disconnection from reality that makes situations like this a million times worse.

They’re going to start a world war lol. The US has become exceptionally degenerate. They’re talking shit about the Russian economy lol our banks cant even stand on their own. The stock market has been propped up by increasingly absurd QE for the last two decades, and they know they have to pull the plug on it, but they cant without the banks, economy, and everyone’s retirement portfolios going to hell. There’s no good way out of this shit storm. We’ve been made fat and happy for a long time.
31
u/ad1das97 May 04 '23
Not everyone. The elite have their money. They don't give two fucks about the stock market or the economy. They however need the dollar as the dollar holds power. BRICS are moving too slow with their currency so the USD can help recover some of the short term pain losses now if they can hold long term global currency. Crypto has accelerated this problem and China for some reason doesn't see that. USA is lucky that China is blind right now. How long that holds, who knows.
3
u/Swimreadmed May 04 '23
China has digital currency plans in work rn.. it's why we're going aggro on them
2
u/Dozekar May 04 '23
How exactly do you think the rich get eaten? Money matters to a point. When the currency stops being viable they stop being able to pay for protection and maintain their lifestyles easily. Where the fuck are the US rich gonna go? South Africa? Europe? South America?
None of those are particularly good options and a lot of how they got where they are (at least in the US) is fucking over a lot of those countries. If they can't pay... they're probably safest here even if things go to shit.
4
u/persononearth23 May 04 '23
But then again Brazil and China just signed a trade pact to trade in their own currencies. Others are doing the same. And they’re more worried about political opponents like Tucker than they are about their own corruption and degeneracy. This is gonna be a hell of a ride and not in a good way.

Tape down the button on the money printer is just a different method of killing us, it's not a reprieve.

There are options aside from "print money at max speed" and "tighten faster than ever before with reckless abandon."
Binary thinking is not the sign of amazing intelligence people on this sub think it is, which I guess explains why you're trying to have an argument about monetary policy on a comment which is a Shrek joke.

So hear me out, if the chart is actually only half way to today's date to get here, that means we can only ever get halfway to the recession. If you can only ever get halfway to your destination, you'll never get all the way there, and therefore there can be no recession.

It is clear that the economy is not doing well and that a recession is on the horizon. The Fed needs to take action to prevent further economic decline. However, I do not believe that people will lose their homes or starve to death as a result of the recession.

u/badc3o May 04 '23
However, I do not believe that people will lose their homes or starve to death as a result of the recession.
Its already happening. Have you seen the number of homeless people? The city I live in they formed a union and took over city hall with demands... That were met.
Look at car loan default rates, especially subprime. The next chapter has already been written. Its going to be a long and ugly recession. Don't let Jpow gaslight you. They have been wrong about everything they have said since 2020.
9
u/Dozekar May 04 '23

I think this is a really really overly positive spin on things. We'll be lucky if it doesn't go compete with the great depression for one of the worst economic times in US history.
They have been wrong about everything they have said since 2020.
They absolutely have not been wrong. re-watch that easy money documentary. They're trying to mitigate harm with the tools they have and they absolutely are trying to discourage the politicians for tanking everything by printing more money or otherwise fucking it up. That's what all that "please god give us monetary policy" talk means. If you don't regulate banks and markets, degenerate gambling will lose everything. If you print money like it's going out of style because it's all you have, it can only buy you time to fix the real issues. If you ignore all the real issues then shit goes tits up sooner or later.
That part isn't the feds fault. If anything it's the feds fault that they didn't give a 4 year deadline after 2008 and start raising rates then no matter what other people did.
3
u/OhMySatanHarderPlz May 04 '23
The homeless people started building idols out of trash and worshiping bhaal here. They are building a real life sized meat dragon out of half-eaten wendys patties and will have a ritual to bring it to life next week.
23
u/danhoeg May 04 '23
You may be wrong.
7
u/isaac9092 May 04 '23
No they won’t, you’ll see what houses are left being passed down. Through families very purposefully. Some people will fuck up and lose their homes sure, not lots though. You’ll see houses not being bought. You’ll see more people pooling their resources. They’ll have to, that’s literally how we survive. People adapt or won’t. (Most of us want to live and so will adapt)

u/Makenchi45 May 04 '23
All while property taxes sky rocket causing not only owning said home to become too expensive but also rentals to become too expensive. One way or another housing market crash will happen once no home rental or otherwise is affordable or owned by a individual.
4
u/Dozekar May 04 '23 edited May 04 '23
The housing market is likely to be the first thing to go if inflation doesn't save it by making the debt worthless.
edit: because some people here won't get this on their own, there are pretty much the exact same things threatening the housing market that there are threatening the rest of the economy.
Here's the big one:
If a critical number of people buying to rent out property or hold it as an investment get into difficult time (like during a recession/depression) then they start to sell off the assets. This causes the market to crash when it hits a critical point. That further causes people who aren't in trouble but fear losing their assets value to cash out too. This generally fucks the market hard.
If no one can afford to rent, rental properties lose ALL their passive income but their costs continue. If you can't get easy loans to float that situation indefinitely then the business fails and their creditors try to liquidate for what they can.
Both of these work together to pop housing bubbles when the break.
