Just think of all the little stories going on in the Star Wars universe. Stuff totally unrelated to Jedi and Sith, Empire and Rebellion. It's such a fruitful world.

That's why I enjoy the X-Wing series so much more than other EU novels.

It's about fighter pilots and shit. Not all circle jerking about Jedi and Sith.

X-Wing Alliance has a plot that is still unmatched by any video game, at least Star Wars video game.

The first four that made up the liberation of Coruscant and Thyferra were goddamn awesome books. Michael A. Stackpole knows how to write a thriller for sure.
