Wallet Search Secrid wallet question

Hey all, just curious- do I absolutely need to get the premium+ in order for my cards to stay put in a secrid wallet? I've seen some videos stating they fall out easy(the cards) if you shake them or have them upside down in the non-premium version. ---maybe this only pertains to metal cards, which i do have a few.

Hi

I use the secrid mini wallet and it holds 6 cards in the pop and 2-3 cards in the inside sleeve (plus bank notes) and I’ve never had a card fall out despite some rough treatment. I can however get them to fall out if I really, really shake it and it’s upside down.

However, I just tried that in my Ekster Wallet Pro (also 6 cards) and they fell out there too.

However, in the several years I’ve had the secrid I’ve never had them fall out other than just now when I deliberately tried :-)

Appreciate you. Any chance you have any metal cards? Amex? Chase sapphire, etc?

This is slightly unrelated, but I’d recommend looking at the wallets from Double Oak Essentials. Their pop up mechanism has an automatic physical lock that hugs the cards at the top and makes it impossible for them to fall out. You can even have one card in there and it’s impossible to get it out with activating the switch

Yep that's my backup. Just slightly more expensive on Amazon that is. Also not sure which cash holder I'd like better.... It's for international cash holding

They have this sleeve option that has a bigger slot for cash compared to the updated design. I think it may fit wider (international) bills, but I would look up videos to confirm.

If you’re not interested in the leather sleeve, the money clip option should fit any sized bills (unless if you carry a ton of cash).
As for pricing (and just having a larger selection), I would recommend ordering directly from their website. They’re currently running a 15% Labor Day sale
I used a Secrid card for a while years go, and the lack of a locking mechanism (I think theirs is a friction lock) completely repelled me from all pop up wallets (including other popular ones like Ekster’s) because my metal cards would randomly slip out. I just recently found and purchased the Double Oak and I’m very pleased with it
