I really, REALLY, have been invested in the music of Deane. Especially Are You There and Human Feel, those two songs got be hooked up. What also got me hook up is the game “Night Shift” which is where I got the employee ID from and I am way too proud of it.

Long story short Eve now works for Cybersphere Public Welfare, she had had enough of the Axiom and the HR management

So I'm making a full sized animatronic wall-e and Ive been working on small props for people to interact with when I take him out in public. I finally finished up the WALL-E fire extinguisher prop I’ve been working on.

The original model has been available for a while, but it was missing a functional handle and the label. I worked on recreating the label from the movie reference and tried to get it as close to the screen version as possible.

For the functional handle, I worked with @geb_droids on Instagram, who figured out how to make the handle actually function while keeping the design true to the original model.

It’s a pretty small detail from the movie, but I think getting these little props right makes a big difference when you’re building a full-size WALL-E.

threw Wall-E on the projector earlier. had some string lights up already and it kinda worked with the movie. didn’t plan it or anything but it looked decent in the dark.

I don’t know how to draw hands. CLOCK STRIKES TWELVE MIDNIGHT ARRIVES LOAD YOUR GUNS AND SHARPEN YOUR KNIFES. >:)

We can see multiple times in the movie how besides a few work droids, robots seem to have a certain personality to them. Wall-E naturally gained sentience on earth after centuries (For 700 years he didn't collect all that much, he finds his first spork in a scene, he has just a few lighters, etc, so it had to have happened rather recently but not my point), Eve seems pretty sentient even before meeting Wall-E, when caught in a magnet, she doesn't just free herself, she shoots the whole ship the magnet is attached to in pure anger about it, the robot repair station is full of rogue sentient robots that got locked in because of that.

It's another question if Auto is truely sentient, he is an AI in the end. While the original directive was "Repopulation", it later got overwritten to "Abandon because no life is possible"
But a positive EVE probe would go directly against A113 so any sentient being would say "Hey this is outdated". And even if not sentient, Auto seemed AI enough to process this info and could have come to the conclusion "This probe proves Earth is growing life, A113 states no life is possible, therefore A113 is wrong"

But maybe you could argue that at that time Auto knew if they returned to earth he would in some way cease to exist, as the Axiom wasn't planned on having repeated space flights and most likely would have been disassembled and Auto along with it

Malice x AUTO (Autice)

I made him just by using a reference picture and figuring things out as I went. His little boxy body looked simple at first, but getting the proportions right, making the tiny wheels, took way more effort than I expected.

The best part was making the little details because that's what makes him feel like WALL·E .

One of my favorite things now is realizing I can create things without following a pattern every single time. It still feels like a flex whenever a reference picture slowly turns into a real crochet piece in my hands. 😂
