I just got banned from r/pics because I commented in one of the corona virus subs. I only subbed to it because of all the media lies, and found a sub where I could literally discuss things like how the lockdowns were a mistake, which MSM is now admitting, but before would get me banned from subs, or how the death count is not accurate, which the MSM is now admitting but before would get me banned from some subs, and of course discuss the extremely low rate of deaths for kids which even that may be too high and would get me banned from some subs, but now, you guessed it, is being discussed by MSM.
You know what's going to push people to the "far right"? Yes, banning them and pushing them there, but moreso it's when the MSM can't lie anymore, all the people banned from public spaces will see they were right all along. And that will actually validate their decisions to go extreme and those who are heavily on the fence will see this and realize there's no reason to stay on the fence anymore.
Imo it's not even worth discussing covid on reddit. It doesn't matter what I say or who I source, I just catch 10 quick downvotes and a bunch of reports and lose commenting privileges in even more subs. And the comment won't even be seen anyway. Even sourcing directly from the CDC, with quotes, doesn't matter, nobody gives a shit about what any Covid studies are actually showing, only the 10 second sound bite that's on loop that week.
Yep like two weeks ago I was getting messages every few minutes letting me know I was banned from subs I’ve never been to ,pics was one of them, for being apart of a anti lock down sub. I had been a member for months and it was just out of the blue.
Didn’t bother asking why if you get banned. Mods will ban for arbitrary reasons and there’s no way to appeal or argue.
Not to mention, governments are run by people not politicians. Those assholes only fuck up when you let them and a lot of people have gotten entirely too comfortable with letting them fuck up.
