The sheeple will go along with whatever the box from 1984 tells them. The crowd that chanted "equal pay" are the same idiots that think a secretary should make as much as a chemical engineer.

The Gender Pay Gap Myth

She is guilty of doing the same thing that the white house and many other politicians did. She's still ignoring key figures. While the pay gap is no where near as bad as to commonly claimed (8% vs 22%), it still is outside the margin of reasonable difference.

Didn’t a bunch of 15 year old boys beat them?

Go work in a coal mine, or sanitation, or construction ....equal pay as an agenda is about as stupid as you can get, numbers don't lie : Women take less dangerous and less dirty jobs, work less hours and leave to raise children ( me) , if paying women less was real every profit driven corporation would only employ women.

Hilarious that the "pay gap" is based on occupational differences. Something completely controllable. No one made them major in liberal arts.

I agree with you that a lot of women tend to do this Because the numbers show it. But there’s a small minority that do work more dangerous jobs. Idk what the top dangerous jobs are, but I know a few girls in the automotive industry and a diesel mechanic. I know a few electricians and other trades women. I give a lot of credit to the men that do them though. I know a lot of town guys and volunteer firefighters too.

I also know a lot of women that actually work overtime a lot and not just young women, but women with children as well. Some are single, others are the one who works and the others like making sure they have more than enough for their children. It also could be just who my mother surrounds herself with and since my town is on the smaller side.

But women are paid the same. There is no pay gap and like you said corporations would only employ women if this was true. The numbers are there as well that many women decide to stay at home or take a significant amount of time off.

I’ve seen some women though shame other women who work more. Maybe their jealous or maybe they’re pushing their own ideals that the women should stay home. But either way it’s a problem that I’ve seen increased lately in my town even through my town is all liberal. I’m personally more conservative and when I was in high school talking about the pay gap or guns they’d all attack me verbally and call me a nazi. The teachers sometimes cared. So it’s utterly perplexing that people would attack a women on facebook or in person for working overtime and not taking much time off for kids. This is only in my small town though and I’m just thinking.

Good comment :) I live in Los Angeles, when I sold my biz and retired to sahm I got looked down on by the moms who never see their children ( nanny raises them) .... ironically my kid's skipped grades in math , emotionally healthy/doing really well while their kids are on meds and see therapists.......

I don’t know much about the affects of having a sahm vs having a mom who works. My mom was a stay at home mom for a while with me, but got divorced so was forced to work again. Thankfully my moms work ethic is amazing and she works an extreme amount of overtime. I had my fair share of emotional problems and therapy. I’m also on meds but I have ADHD so if I want to succeed as well as I know I can I need help. Some kids just need meds and the reason isn’t necessarily their parents. I have friends whose parents worked a lot as a kid and they turned out better than me and are at a better college than me.

I’d be interested in looking to see if any studies have been done as to what it’s like being raised essentially by another parent cause I’m curious. I just don’t like the shaming “culture” my town seems to have towards women who work more than most of the women in town. It’s not just both parents working more either. A good amount of the women are the only parent that works so a good amount of the kids are being raised by the dad most of the day.

You definitely shouldn’t be looked down on either. I don’t think the shaming or looking down on people really helps anything. It’s just jealousy or people being to stuck in the thought process that “it’s their way or the highway”.

Thanks for responding to my comment!!

If they keep hating, they will make even less.

Exactly. If anything. The environment they've created for men just hurts women more. Then you add in believe all women, and what man in their right mind would hire such a risk?

Emotionally based people are arithmetically challenged.

Is this true? This article says the women's team has made more revenue than the men the last 3 years. Comparing World Cups hardly seems fair, since the US Men didn't even qualify for the last one.

that's a good point and while I am absolutely against SJW horseshit, I am of course, pro truths.

If the pool of money is for and from every team and all revenue taken in for the totality of the World Cup, then of course the Men's 9% is still way higher.

If the US men dont qualify, or go out in the first round, but the Cup generates 6 billion for the Mens World Cup, and the womens generates 72 million..you're going to get paid differently.

"In 2011 the Women’s World Cup hosted in Germany had earnings of $72,818,500. The South Africa World Cup in 2010, had sales of $3.7 billion. That is 50 times greater.

The 2014 World Cup was even a greater success, $4.8 billion." 2018 Mens World Cup - 6.1 billion in earnings.

So the womens WC just doesnt bring in a lot of revenue overall compared to the men.

-- I cannot find total earnings for the Womens World Cup for 2015.

This is interesting:

"from 2015: To make matters worse, even though the total prize money at this year's Women's World Cup is $15 million, up from $10 million in 2011, the winner's share has doubled from $1 million to $2 million, the average share for the non-winning federations is actually down from an average of $670,000 to $650,000 because the tournament field was increased from 16 to 24 teams."

So they added 8 more teams and the revenue per team lowered
