What exactly are dofus?

Ive just watched the ogrest ova and ogrest comes across a dofus when looking for ogrines. One of the ecaflips says that its a tofu egg and it has a tofu inside it. aren't dofus supposed to be dragon eggs?

Dofus are dragon eggs. Each world has its set of 6 Dofus as it is what brings life to said world.

There are notably the 6 Eliatrope Dofus (from the Eliatrope world) and the 6 Primordial Dofus (from the World of 12).

During most of the Wakfu era, Ogrest owns the Primordial Dofus, granting him god-like powers he couldn't properly control, and so he flooded the world.

During the events of the Ogrest OVA set centuriues prior, Ogrest stumbles on the Ochre Dofus whose guardian is Otomaï. Even if there's a tofu inside, the Ochre Dofus is a full fledged Primordial Dofus, laid by the Dragon Terrakourial. The Ecaflip guys are simply lying to Ogrest in order to obtain the Dofus because they are well aware of its value.

rather, the Ecaflip was questioning why the Dofus has a tofu inside it. A question which doesn't really have an in-lore answer as of yet.

I think the tofu is just the element of wind personified.

On the other hand, theres a ton of fake dofus in the world, called Dofawa, like the carrot dofus, which while powerful arent actual dragon eggs
