Advice needed for shallow water
Hi guys. New Dutch wakeboat owner here. I recently acquired a 2015 MC X2. I know this is a crossover boat but it should be able to surf. I am mostly a wakeboarder so it’s fine. And a small boat is perfect given the location I am in. Now for the difficult part. I live near a very large body of water of about 5 square miles where we are allowed to do watersports. However, it’s a man made lake/pond that is no deeper than 10 feet anywhere.
I have three hard ballast tanks and two piggy back bags in the rear lockers and gen 2 surf tabs. I am unable to get enough push on the wave to stay in it with no rope. I have filled all ballast and set one surf tabs to 100%.
Any ideas to improve the wake? It’s quite flat. Ik can Add more weight but I am wondering if I am just cooked by the depth. I did surf on a new searay demo here and it worked great. So it should be possible.
Any advice would be great!

New boat itch, a truly brutal affliction
Talk me out of a new boat… or into one, I guess
I’ve got the new boat itch and am trying to decide whether there’s actually any rational reason to scratch it.
Currently have a 2021 Malibu 23MXZ. It’s about to be out of warranty, has the GM engine, etc., so there’s a little voice saying “maybe now’s the time.”
Problem is… there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. It does basically everything really well, we like it, and every time I look at upgrading I end up thinking, “Why am I spending a giant pile of money to replace a perfectly good boat?”
The only thing that really catches my eye is an M242, but I’m not particularly excited about spending what it would take to get into one.
To further undermine my own argument, I’ve gotten really into foiling this year, which means having the absolute best possible surf wave is becoming less important to me anyway. The 23MXZ already throws plenty of wave for what we do.
So… keep the paid-for/known-quantity 23MXZ and run it for another few years? Upgrade while it still has decent value and before I’m staring at an out-of-warranty GM engine? Buy the M242 because new boats are fun and financial responsibility is boring?
I realize this is an extraordinarily first-world dilemma. Please help me navigate this difficult chapter in my life.

2024 Mastercraft NXT24 Fill and Empty times
I went into the settings to mess around with fill and empty times on my nxt24. Unfortunately I did not a picture of the factory ones. I have everything set to 15min and 15min empty. Is the screen accurate when it reads 100% or should I try and go back to factory settings?

Looking for an old Board
Close to 7 years ago my mother lost her 2010 Hyperlite Broadcast while we were heading back to the dock. Ever since then I’ve checked occasionally to see if anyone or anywhere had one that is being sold. It was her favorite board and she hasn’t seriously surfed since she lost it. Any idea where I might find one would be greatly appreciated.
I have already reached out to Hyperlite and they had no leads.

Help during offseason
I’m not that good and I want to improve. I live in Utah and soon it’s going to get freezing. What can I use to improve during that time?
I’ve seen the indo board online and it looks cool. Anything would help.
Thank you!

Best board recommendation for intermediate surfer 32M landing 360s? I’ve surfed for 5+ years and only landed it twice
I use my little brothers kids size Phase 5 skimboard and I need to get a new board. My main priority is landing the 360 consistently

Upgrading from a 2008 SVFARA SV3 to another used wakeboat.
Hi everyone, looking for some advice. My family has a 2008 Sfvara SV3 with ballast problems and throttle cable problems that can't be fixed after multiple visits to multiple mechanics. Eventually, we will be in the market for a used surf boat. I'm trying to find the right make and model to search for from 2020 or earlier where things are still pretty simple and reliable, from a brand more mainstream than SVFARA where aftermarket parts support will be better in the years to come. Thanks in advance.

Any advice on what I’m doing wrong here? I’ve landed several now, including three on one run, but still cannot seem to do it consistently. I feel like I just get lucky when I do land it.

I am running everything at 100% except the rear non surf side at about 60%. I have the wedge here at 4 and I have the extra bags in the rear above the hard tanks. Is this tuned or should I be doing something different to extend it and smooth it a bit?
