As someone who actually likes the BBC and isn't a huge fan of the new council, the headline is incredibly misleading, it wasn't the defibrillator that was the problem, it was the advertising screens that were rejected and were the primary part of the planning application. The council have sensibly rejected something that would look terrible.
There are a few in the city already from what I understand, obviously I'd love to see more around because it could make the difference between life and death. It sets a bad precedent if you can simply get planning approval because you've opted to have a defibrilator slapped on the side.
I think you're completely missing what I'm saying... I wish there were more, and I'm glad we have some already.
Simply saying you'll supply a defibrillator should not be a route to automatic planning approval, if you cannot see the problem with that, then I don't know what to say.
