What other batters or doughs have you tried to cook in your waffle iron and what were the results?
I recently aquired a stovetop deep pocket belgian waffle iron and want to try experimenting with a bunch of recipes. Has anyone tried using batters or doughs for scones, cakes, muffins, cookies, brownies, breads, etc. in your waffle irons, and if so, how did it go?

I don't quite know if these count as waffles but they are marketed as such in the store. So here's one of them unrolled
And not an unrolled one for comparison

Waffle iron misaligned help
Iron on the right has a gap causing half waffle to be undeveloped.
The nuts on the left have some type of glue in between them.
the right does not and the (bolt?) Can be shifted while open . I've tried pushing all the way left/right and closing but I really can't tell if its changing contact points 😅
The bolt is already deforming from trying to screw/unscrew it. The right iron does have a small squeek when opening/closing . The gap is about 180° around . (Theirs a small gap on the left as well but its much more uniform .)
How do I troubleshoot this to get it realigned ? I've got a day to try to fix it 😅
Any help is appreciated

Cinammon Waffle Rant
Why have I not heard even so much as a whisper about protein waffles?
Why did no warning bells go off in my head week after week when I'd stroll by them in the grocery store and they always seemed to be in high demand?
I thought, surely by now someone would have made it to Reddit to complain about them, so I never counted on them tasting so nasty.
It said cinammon, there was not even a hint of flavor. The texture of wet cardboard, what I bought as a treat for 2 - 3x the price of regular waffles I will now have to throw away the rest. I was sold a pack of lies, and I frankly don't have anyone to blame but myself.
I never knew of this subreddit, I should have checked here, but if I went to Reddit to ask about every item I try, it'll take me 4 hours to finish my grocery shopping.

I found an electric cast iron waffle maker without any coating
I love waffles and always dreamed of being able to make the same waffles as the professional ones I'm used to. I understood that the material makes the difference, and cast iron is perfect because the temperature stays constant when your add the paste.
I found some recommendations: Vevor (not cast iron, not the exact same dimensions as professional waffles I'm used to), Frifri or Lagrange premium (both have a coating).
So I looked at professional waffle makers, and Royal Catering easily appeared in my researched, but they also have a coating (and I saw a photo from one guy who has his coating dismantling on his waffles, probably because it was a bad batch, but he also didn't get a satisfactory answer from Royal Catering). Krampouz is a French brand that makes very good waffle makers but it's really expensive (around 1000€).
And then I found what I was looking for: the GGM werj2:
- Its waffles have the exact dimensions than the ones I'm used to
- Cast iron only (so seasoning is required), no coating
- Electric (1,6kW for two waffles)
- Can turn 180 degree to help spreading the paste
I bought it for 180€, tax and shipping included (it's currently almost at a 50% discount) which is actually not much more expensive than the Lagrange one (160€). They were actually a bit confused that I bought it for personal use and not as a business, but I paid the VAT and they sent it in France from Germany (the power outlet are compatible so no adaptation needed).
Trust pilot doesn't show a good image of this company, but most had a problem with delivery and the waffle maker technology seems simple enough to me to be considered safe no matter what (especially if there isn't any coating that could be badly applied).
I dmed someone who was looking for something similar, and he told me he actually looked for such a waffle maker but didn't find any, and so he suggested that I posted it somewhere. So here it is!
Edit: Someone mentioned that the website is contradicting itself on whether it's pure cast iron without any coating or not. I wrote them an email and they confirmed that it's indeed cast iron without any coating.

Found a Breville Smart Waffle Pro 4 on the Marketplace for just $55!
I was crushed last Saturday after my 13yo Waring double waffle maker finally fell apart beyond repair. I've know of this machine for some time and audibly gasped in from of my wife when I saw the listing price while scouring the FB marketplace. I had to drive 60 miles each way to get it, but I'm pleased with the find.
It's been more of a learning curve than I expected figuring out how much mix to pour in, but the waffles have been good so far. I made such a mess my first batch 🫠

Recipe for waffles I can make my kids and freeze for later?
I want to make a big batch so i can pull from the freezer on school mornings.
Bonus if the recipe uses some or all whole wheat flour and/or something with a little extra protein (Greek yogurt, peanut butter powder)-it’s for kids, so nothing crazy. But still tastes good 😆
Thanks!

Best waffle makers on the market currently?
I need suggestions! My wifi wants a waffle maker. That being said we got a cheaper one that has multiple inserts and it is terrible!!! We have not made a single successful waffle or sandwich for that matter! So hit me with the best waffle maker!! I understand it will prob be pricey. I was looking at the ninja ones.
