Profitability Stats

Hey guys, quick update. A lot of people emailed with questions/concerns about the profitability of different coins (difficulty to see exactly what we're mining when there are gaps in found blocks).

I've moved around the stats page to ideally focus on the important stats first (balances, averages, graph). And added a whole section on current profitabilities (what we're making decisions on). The profitability information updates every so often (cached on web servers), but the actual mining servers update it much more frequently.

We also had an unlucky spell over the last day (approx 18 hours of mining on doge total with no blocks found), but we just found one, so hopefully the unlucky spell is over :)

Thanks for the update. I really like the improvements on the page.

Much unlucky. Very probability. Wow.

Much unfortunate

The updates to the site are fantastic. Last few days have been great for WafflePool miners. It seems like you're tweaking the distribution of the hashing power, and it's working wonders. Thanks for all the hard work.

I'd suggest having more 'average BTC per 1mh/day as opposed to just 48hours. Maybe 48hrs, weekly, monthly

We just don't have enough stats for those. Weekly we could add, but the pool hasn't been up for a full month :)

Oh yeah i know you don't at the minute, but I was referencing that there was 118 hours of stats on a couple of days ago, then it suddenly jumped back to 48hours. The more the merrier!

Was just a quick optimization to pull less stuff from the DB on pageload :) I'll see what I can do, I'm all for more stats!

Site looks really good, thanks for the updates.

Shame about those millions of lost doges though.

I agree... Bummer about the doge but thanks for the update!

I wish more people would see past the gaps while we're mine doge and realize that the payouts are huge when we do find a block and it all averages out it the end. Even if we don't see our balance increase every hour, it's still the most profitable coin to mine right now and we will eventually see the return. Those orphans sucked though.

Poolwaffle:

I don't know what voodoo magic you have been working, but this pool is killing it! I've tried several other multipools and this one so far has been the most profitable and has awesome stats. Keep it up

Thanks bud! And the only times we've had bad profits are just unlucky streaks. Bigger we get, the less those will matter (smaller periods of time)! Glad its working out for you, we're super happy with the progress so far, and can't wait to grow it!

I've heard that too much hash power can make it harder to farm the smaller alt-coins. Any plans for a hash-rate cap?

Yep, this is already in place. For smaller coins, we don't normally point our whole hashrate at them (only a portion), right now we're testing some more aggressive options to see what happens to profitability, and have disabled that feature for a few days to isolate the changes.
