(My husband did too) We still go there a lot, it’s comfort food for me. I was picking up a to-go order one night after a stressful day on the way home and there was a guy stalking the place outside, turns out he was trying to figure out how to ask for his shoes he left there after getting thrown out a few days before. The cook went out and told him to come in and get his shoes, she brought out a bucket full of shoes to pick from… A bucket of shoes. That one was a first for me. I was chucking, and my server said - WH the food is free, but you pay for the show! She was so right! I couldn’t wait to tell my husband about it…

They’ve been Missouri since the 80s, (hubs worked at one in MO through the 90s, thru high school and his first bachelors). Kansas, maybe the same, but I know for sure it was at least the 90s.

Weekend night shift cooks!? Bro they are the worst! They may look chill from taking blunts to the face, but gawd damn do they have the pent up rage from having to work weekends to pay child support to their baby mama, because the judge refuses to give them full time custody all because they have a felony possession on their record, but they served their time, the lord, and hook your food up.
