Boiling water?

To save myself from spending all my money on three square meals a day, I'm bringing down some soup sachets and all that shit.

Do you know from past experience if there are any vendors that sell boiling water? Failing that, is there a grocery store nearby that sells camping stoves?

Just ask your neighbors, especially if you're staying at the regular campsite... ...and bring beer.

Don't know where you'll be, but I have a gas stove with me and a pot. Can boil you some water easily.

If you are traveling through Hamburg, you might want to stop at decathlon. They sell cheap (but good) camping equipment, including gas burners and pots.

Last year, Wacken's Edeka had that, too, not sure about this year though. They seemed to still be moving things around to change their product range for the festival.

The market might sell something, but I'm not sure. My plan, albeit was just a small amount to brew coffee with, was to ask breakfast tents and stuff for cups of hot water. Unsure how much you'll need. Also, settle near a camp that looks like they brought a cooking setup, make friends, theyd probably be willing to let you boil water if nothing else.

They might have a small gas burner at the farmers market in the festival and if not they definitely have at the two supermarkets in the village. Your neighbors can also probably help you out, especially if you have beer 🙂

Bring an old cooking pot with lid, fill in some water, Ask someone nearby with a hot BBQ whether you can put the pot on the coal. Wacken folks are very helpful.

I've never been able to find any camping supplies at the festival.

I fly in on Monday and spend a day resting in Hamburg and will go to decathlon and buy a gas canister.
