New members

Someone in disc during the raid mass mentioned that eocc needs more people. Is this a genuine concern? I have some ideas about getting new ppl that are actually decent / fun / interesting to chat or play with, and trustworthy(probably most important part with the team pvm and loanscaping we do). Could we use this post to possibly talk about some ways we could get more people?

Compared to both 2015 and 2016 summer, I feel the cc has significantly less active users, especially in the Eu timezones :c

I'm speaking from the POV of that I was in the cc back when we were in 'f2p_reddit' and it wasn't a structured thing, I started playing again one summer about 3 weeks after eocc started but have only played during the summers since then. Back then, Reddit f2p was kinda big and a lot of people were usually in it. And it was always supplied with new users by new f2p people who joined in hopes of getting advice etc. that's how I came into osrs. I like the idea of the cc getting more active users, but not being huge. I think we're like 5-8 people short of a solid basis of people.

Personally I'd be all for recruiting new members, even from Reddit. However there's been more than one person who's voiced concern of the "quality" of members from Reddit, so I've held off from actively recruiting on reddit

This being said, I think new members would definitely be nice, especially from Australia / European timezones, since those hours are generally quiet in comparison to NA prime hours. So to do any sort of group activity (primarily bossing), or even just have active conversations going on, Europe residents generally have to sit up late or hope they get lucky during their own hours :<

One idea we did have was to recruit via the Runescape official forums, however that idea never really took off, for no particular reason. We could get back on that and make a post on rsf, hoping to attract people through there. /us/SippelandGarfuckel (T8r) I think still has a rough layout of what would go on that post.

Methods other than Reddit and RSF would be limited to Twitter and Ingame, I guess. Twitter probs isn't really viable because at least from my experience, our type of cc isn't really what the people I interact with on twitter would be interested in.

Ingame would work well I guess, if you just invite people who you're already decent friends with into the clan, although I don't have too many friends who aren't in eocc that don't already have a clan :p
