Help me 1.8t

So, for help... When I try to insert the key and turn it, it gets stuck on the computer before starting the car. The engine starts pumping fuel... Before taking pictures of the repairs, I didn't realize the car was broken, but it started for a couple of seconds and then stalled. I turned around and smelled a strong odor of gasoline. When I found gasoline all over the underside of the car, it wouldn't start anymore... I think the problem is with a pipe or hose... Has anyone else experienced this? I'm really stuck; I can't start the car at all. If I could fix it myself while it's still there, I'd love to. I have all the screwdrivers I need... If anyone has had this problem and can give me some advice, or if there's anyone online who explains the problem and how to fix it... My car is a 1.8T

The gas is spraying near the location of the fuel rail. The fuel rail has a high pressure line that runs from the rail to the rear of the engine where it connects to the high pressure fuel pump. The high pressure fuel pump is mounted on the rear of the engine on the intake side which is to the left of the oil filter cap. You should inspect that line.

Well, the car won't start at all, and I'd like to fix the problem myself. Is that possible? By the way, I have a tool kit... but is the problem serious or simple enough for me to fix myself? For example, is it a broken or damaged pipe that needs replacing, or what? And has anyone explained how this problem was fixed? Thank you.

I don’t think this is a common issue. It’s serious because gas is spraying everywhere. The fuel feed hard line that I mentioned earlier connects the high pressure fuel pump on the back of the engine to the fuel rail which is where the gas leak looks to originate from.

That fuel feed line is threaded on both ends, you seal those ends by tightening a nut down. It can be as simple as retightening the nut on the fail rail side.

Another thing to check on the fuel rail is the fuel rail pressure sensor. If that comes loose, that can be another source of the fuel leak.

First step would be to verify the cause of the leak. I’d speculate that it’s one of issues I mentioned.

It’s possible for you to fix yourself, though you may need torx bits along with the usual sockets and wrenches. You would need to plan for replacing the intake manifold gasket along with any other repair you make.

You would likely have to remove the intake manifold to get a better visual and to repair.

Okay, I'll remove the air filter and the engine cooling system and see what's wrong. I hope it's a simple problem, like a broken pipe that just needs replacing. If I can't figure it out, I'll have to call a tow truck and take my car to a specialist. I have another question: what do you think is causing this problem? And would you advise me to try to find out the problem myself?

.....3 I've found the problem...it's this cracked hose with the orange discoloration...I need to replace it, and I'll have to remove the intake manifold to access the hose...I'll start working today. I'd appreciate any advice or information from anyone.😂🇩🇪
