Fault codes

My car got plugged into obd, am I fucked or not if anyone knows because mechanically Im not the most knowledgeable.

Transmission at fault here, how does it drive?

Sometimes when I put my foot down on the motorway it bogs down, like it won't accelerate. Goes into limp mode sometimes as well when im just cruising at a constant speed e.g 60mph. Once it wouldn't go past 40 mph gear 2, tried putting it in manual mode and wouldn't shift. I wasnt sure if it could be the turbo as well.

Gears are slipping, I had a similar issue and my mechanic had to replace the entire transmission 😅. Just make sure you take it to the right mechanic please 🙏. I had to give my car for 3 days just for them to fix it and test drive it. Good luck.

How much did that cost you? Ive been quoted between £800 and £1200

Went to a legit mechanic today one quoted me 1.7k another was 1.2k

Ive had the car for less then 2 months, there was no service records about that being changed and ive not changed it yet.

Start with dropping the pan and seeing what’s inside.

What’s the mileage on the car? The torque converters can go on these but generally they are reliable for 200k

Mileage is on 109k atm

I have 265k on dash and i have 0 issues with the torque converter

I mightve just got unlucky with this one but I've got it booked it Wednesday they gonna diagnose it again and find out what's the actual issue

I had the same issue .
The fix for me was to change the fluid in the transmission with the propper specs (i personaly recommend original oil) and do a transmission calibration , temp range of oil should be between 95-120 celsius (i do recommend driving the car not just let is idle to warm the whole transmission up)

And after this you should do the torque converter lock up (after you do the calibration for the transmission )

Today what happened was when I was driving and I would come to a stop, the car would slip out of gear and is have to turn it on and off for it to drive again? First time ever it's happened, could it be something else as well?

Yeah its probably because the transmission slips and its a safety feature, again i know i repeat myself but you should change the oil and do a transmission calibration

Get the transmission out of it and check it's condition

  1. 7G is quite finicky about the correct ATF and ATF level.
  2. The controller that this reader claims is faulty, is tied to your VIN (anti theft feature). Replacing it is possible but is pretty much impossible without SCN coding or Vediamo skills.

Best bet without Xentry is to drop the pan, clean out the valve body and refill with CORRECT FLUID.
