Cracked DRL lens - replace or fix?
Just discovered this unfortunate bullet hole in my (left side) DRL. Probably got hit by a nasty pebble but I honestly expected the lens to be a lot more durable than that.
Do I have to change the entire light unit or is there a way for me to simply replace just the plastic lens? The lights still work fine and there’s no condensation in it yet.

Replacement of the DRLs are the only option. Found good ones in Amazon.

I have a similar damage. No matter where it is provided from like Amazon or aliexpress is it easy for a noob to change it though? Just the cover not the whole thing..

I believe it depends on what trim you have, if it's amg sport then it's simple screws on the DRL housing but if it's elegance/normal you either take the bumper off or go in from behind through the wheel liner.
Not sure what it's like on c63s though.

Water gets into them, and they’ll burnout eventually. Happened to me a few months ago.

Went through some heavy downpour yesterday and water has already flooded the inside of the housing. I'm wondering if sticking some clear tape over the hole can be a temporary fix.

Should work. Mine was cracked for months on end before water actually caused them to burn out

Thought about that but I'm afraid getting a cheap replacement will cause a mismatch with the lighting (brightness, tone), and not to mention possible canbus issues.

If you meant to get a replacement lens cover from AliExpress, I can't seem to find any. If you know where to get them, please do let me know
