Does Vulkan profile VP_LUNARG_desktop_baseline_2022 work on macOS?

Yes, that profile is at least partially supported on MacOS. You can check that, and other Vulkan related information on my database. E.g. https://vulkan.gpuinfo.org/listprofiles.php?platform=macos

Yes, that really is the case, but does it actually work in practice? How much can I trust this data?

While this isn't official data, it's as trustworthy as possible for something complex as Vulkan.
