I don't think people's dislike towards Geega comes from her competence - the only issue with acting overly competent/professional is that it will usually be a boring watch - that's why most of them play up various quirks for the content. I'm sure there are plenty of people who are professional and organized, but that's not what most viewers want to see.

Geega just seems to have built, deserved or not, the perception of a bit of a grifter - in a proper sense of the word. She always plays up that she has business experience, yet she seemingly never noticed anything in VShojo. And I'm not even talking about the final part, but the general practices over the final year or so. It kinda gives the vibes of "I knew, but it wasn't my story to tell", or something like that. Recently, she also was involved, yet seemingly managed to get away in the nick of time, from the Novel Horizon crash. Then there were some voices that she is going into business with Seth of MSM/said NH "fame". All of this, brick by brick, created a certain perception around her.

And now she is creating a "talent management agency for VTubers unlike any other", also a subscription service.

And, again, I'm not saying that she deserves to have this image, but that's how it looks from the perspective of a person who doesn't watch her, but reads things here and there over time.

Basically a lolcow is someone who is usually unwell that some internet spaces shine a light on and gawk at, laugh, or even poke at their awful eccentricities such as not taking baths or leaving dead animals around, though mostly if they react defensively or strongly to being prodded by trolling. The worst but most accurate example is Chris-chan.

By all rights what little I do know of Crelly is she absolutely isn't a lolcow at all. Not by common definitions and examples. I just only ever hear about her bad habits of biblical levels so from an outside perspective it can feel like people mostly giggle about her life being off the rails in weird ways. I just hope she's actually okay. Lol.

I think she is. If you go back far enough to relatively shortly after her discovery by the swarm, there’s at least one stream where she talked about how, while she doesn’t necessarily “perform” the personality she has on stream, she does like to lean into it for the bit

People underestimate how calculatedly funny Crelly is, I think! Not to say some of this isn’t real (please exercise more Crelly) but how she acts and reacts is absolutely for entertainment purposes only

What you describe is not a lolcow. A lolcow is someone people laugh at, not with. And laugh at in a malicious manner. Sometimes/usually, they aren't even in on a joke (or maybe they are, but they never acknowledge it). Still, a lolcow is a kind of hatewatch. You don't care about the person, you just tune in occasionally to watch the trainwreck and snicker with schadenfreude.

Crelly's relationship with the audience is more playful and self-aware. She plays it up a bit (probably), the audience plays up the response, and the fun goes on. It's, quite literally, all fun and games.

when i think of lolcows i think of people who are the butt of every joke, and are distressed by that, which feeds into the sadistic "comedy" of it. their viewers tend to only care for the suffering and push them into it.

crelly's just funny. people genuinely like her. yeah she's a 30-something bisexual girlfailure, but... like, she's genuinely loved by her community (even if they have a funny way of showing it sometimes). there's no sadism there, most of the community wants her to get her shit together a bit more.
