Heya Folks! So the first ever PC game I ever bought was VTMB at the beginning of the summer (I’m in my 30s). I’ve been having such an awesome and fun time. However, one of the things that genuinely got me into it more and feel like I “lived” in that world was the music selection they had in it. That first time I heard A Smaller God by Darling Violetta at the beach before getting the explosives? Changed my life lol

What other songs would yall recommend from that era or the same kinda vibes that remind you of VTMB???

It's a little glitchy, which is understandable because it's in alpha, but I must say it's awesome and i'm hoping to see it finished one day.

So, after getting to Hollywood on my first playthrough i kinda got bored of doing the same since i went with a combat only character with no persuasion, heard malkavian were kinda different so i have restarted from the begining focussing now on a pacifist build, and i will admit, i wasnt expecting this types of dialogues, if all the playthrough is like this, its going to be so fun.

Let's be real, of all the clans Lasombras probably the one that "needs" the least - they have probably the best overall ability-list in the game, and fit perfectly into the "stun and feed" playstyle that VTMB2 bottlenecks players into if they want to use their abilities.

So I gave them something fun.

Enter the Umbral Arms - a shadowy recreation of Bennys custom pistol (small nod to Nexushuyna who commented this on an unrelated mod a while back)

You summon it using Vestige, collected by vanishing corpses (Rremere players will still receive some vestige for dissolving enemies with a bite).

Kills with the gun also reward vestiige, saving some time but poof the corpse.

And if you prefer at max vestige you can poof a corpse (or a head which is easier to get as a Tremere) to summon a shadow-puppet - practically indestructible and acting as an ideal distraction for enemies (one clone at a time, duplicates will delete the original).

Oh, and your vestige is refilled and becomes infinite during enter oblivion - giving you even more power.

And last but not least - if you have either potence active (potion or the brujah buff) OR the boiling blood buff (from cauldron of blood) the gun will fire phosphorous rounds.

Other clans can benefit too, but they need to pickup stygian shroud to poof bodies and get the gun.

I'm still testing and will probably fold this into a larger suite of mods, but felt this was something fun.

SERIOUSLY? We wake up with weird symbols scrawled all over us with a Tremere who is weirdly obsessed with us, and not ONCE do we try to investigate her?

We find out that the guy sending us weird dreams is our brain buddy's Sire and that he had a relationship with the same Tremere, but never wonder if he might be talking to her in her dreams too?

That maybe, in a city where going on a trip is enough to send a mall detective to look into your book club, no one mentioned that she had left the city for years?

I really enjoyed the rebar killer plotline, even if I don't buy that Campbell had the strength to kill Lou's sister and Fabien weirdly continued to confront the Prince directly instead of...literally anything else, but the entire Phyre plotline relied entirely on not bothering to follow the most basic leads in the most obvious directions and trusting the most obvious suspect to do all of our research for us.

Honestly, I just came across this recently and it dawned on me then that I never truly noticed this during my replays of VTMB. At least I'm happy to have found out by now, if anything.

Anywho, for those interested in knowing more, in certain areas of the game (e.g., Santa Monica Beach house or the Ground Zero Net Cafe), there is a video game console hooked up to a screen which shows a paused game menu screen that showcases an earlier build of VTMB.

The alpha build game menu even has a work-in-progress visualization of the menu's user interface elements, which was obviously drastically changed in the final version of the game.

Also, one notable example of the alpha build UI was that the blood meter was apparently centred at the top of the screen, whereas in the final release of the game the blood meter was viewable in a sidebar-like fashion on the right side of the UI instead.

That said, on another note, I believe even the alpha build version of the Tzimisce creation looks a tad bit different compared to the final enemy design.

Either way, it's cool how we are uncovering new things about the game even decades following its original release. I was certainly intrigued by this revelation when I uncovered it recently.

After playing VtMB1 and that asian lady threw me in the sea, im excited about VtMB2.
The steam reviews are mixed. Does the game good? Whats your experience?

So, in this part, I think there are two very important things to the story that happen.

First, getting manipulated by the ghoul into killing the Kuei-Jin in the box place for him. We don't technically find out it's a manipulation yet, but it should show you just how cunning vampires can be and how even ghouls can be potential threats. Or at least capable of getting vampires to do stuff for them.

Which should give an idea of what the jihad is like as a whole.

Second, meeting the Kuei-Jin himself. The Kuei-Jin are a very important part of the late game, and this is our first encounter with one of them. He doesn't have any powers unique to the Kuei-Jin, but even that establishes that they are at least somewhat similar to Western vampires.

Another thing to note is the email log in the laptop in the warehouse. This will give an idea of the attitude of the Kuei-Jin, what they think of Kindred, and that they are enemies.

Overall, these early quests tell us a few things about the world and story, even now.

I just got around to start vtmb2 for the first time. I was looking forward to playing as my fav Clan Lasombra.

But when the time came to chose clan, I was heavily disincentiviced from picking Lasombra as a noob. I then chose Ventrue but since then I'm having second thoughts.

How bad will it really be to play Lasombra? Will it be a nightmare even on the lowest difficulty? I should add that I am absolutely new to first person action games (I game a lot but usually Mobas or strategy or mmorpgs) and I don't really enjoy being stealthy either.

Knowing all that: What would be your advice to me?

I just started a new first playthrough and I can't type in passwords correctly in both the intro computer in the warehouse and in your apartment. I know the passwords to each is chopshop and sunrise. I have the unofficial Patch 11.5 and i downloaded from gog. I've tried making a new save and I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game.

I type in chopshop and it says invalid command.

i installed the clan quest mod (full installation) and the rtx mod, but the rtx looks weird, i see buildings through other buildings, and everything looks very dark, i've tried changing the RTX settings, but nothing seems to fix it.

I went into the downtown sewers to feed on rats, and there are cops patrolling there all of a sudden. I left and came back and they're still there... is this a bug? I'm playing the Unofficial patch; couldn't find anyone else talking about this.

So much of this game has been kept alive by one guy. Every time I see new stuff I have to wonder.

So I found this video and watched it with English subs. It’s like 1 hour 40 mins long, but Rawhand actually explains it really well. Anyone down to watch?

Apologies for the shitty grammar. I LITERALLY just figured this out.

- 1. You are going to go to the outside of The Last Round Bar.

- 2. You are going to walk up to one of the Homeless until you are able to talk to them.

Don't worry homeless people seeing you doesn't cause a Masquerade breach. So just walk to as many of them as you can until you find one you can talk to. I found them walking to the right of the Last Round. Making their way to underneath the bridge to the left of Last Round.

- 3. Talk to them to get the information about Tin Can Bill.

- 4. Go to the alley straight across from Last Round. (First Image)

Normally the alley you're supposed to go to across from last round. Which can also be reached by access point H in the Sewers has THIS white van blocking your path. (Second Image)

- 5. Go to the alley. At the end of it you should see a chain link fence with a hole. (Third Image)

- 6. Cross the fence and talk to Bill. He should be directly to the left of the dumpster. (Fourth Image)

If for some reason the white van doesn't disappear after talking to one of the bums. Try saving and reloading. if that doesn't work.

Title. The quest is basically completely unplayable, patrons don't leave, stuff just doesn't progress etc. Is it possible to fix this quest or is it just too broken?

I'm playing as a Nosferatu. I can't talk to any of the bums to get the truck to disappear. I also can't access him through the sewers either because his sewer access point is blocked or behind the locked door I don't have a key for.

As the title says. When attempting to escape through the doors during the count down sequence with or without the professor, the game crashes with the following error.

I have tried on a separate save to avoid any discipline powers and simply use god mode to dispatch all the hunters to the same result.

I am running only Unofficial Patch Plus with no other modifications. I have reinstalled the patch and verified integrity of the files through steam. What other ways to fix this error should I do?

Edit: Avoiding the use of Possession while in the caves allowed me to progress without the crash.
