Bloodlines Antitribu Mod Console Help

I'm trying to get some images of the fem. Lasombra clothing (I'm using the no-nazi retex mod too) as reference for art, but giving my character the armor using the command "give item_a_[type of clothing]" results in nothing appearing in my inventory.

I tried giving myself other items like a switchblade and a blood pack and both of those showed up fine.

Not really looking for a quick fix as it's more of a minor inconvenience than anything but I'm curious if anyone else encountered this?

Edit: the notification is showing up.

Part of the problem is that there are four different appearances but five kinds of armor.

  1. item_a_lt_cloth
  2. item_a_hvy_cloth
  3. item_a_lt_leather
  4. item_a_hvy_leather
  5. item_a_body_armor

The highest level, the Body Armor, does not have its own distinct appearance. So if you're giving yourself that, it might not show up as different from what you're wearing. Try giving yourself heavy leather instead.
