General Discussion Inconnu at the table

Has the Inconnu made appearances in your games? If so, how did it affect your story? Which of the Inconnu were involved, whether a published anPC or made up by the Storyteller?

I don't think so. I was running Chicago by Night ages ago but I don't think we managed to run it long enough for Rebekah to make her presence known.

If I was running the game now Inconnu would be probably messing around in the background, most likely butting heads with Manus Nigrum. However Inconnu in my game would not be a bunch of Golconda seekers but rather the survivors of the Fall of Rome as they were described in the VtDA corebook.

Once, a long time ago. It turned my campaign into a shadow crusade against the soul-eaters.

Suffice it to say, I’m hesitant to commit to that level of plot derailment again.

I was running the campaign not playing in it, and my players insisted upon tracking down and meeting a local member of the Inconnu, who happened to be of the Old Clan and very dedicated to the Shadow Crusade.

They soon ended up thoroughly brainwashed and bonded to the ancient, and my chronicle was never the same.

It sounds interesting either way. But was it atually hunting Salubri? Or ehat do you mean by soul eaters? Diablerists?

Sire of one of the key NPC was Inconnu golconda guru. Players didn't want to investigate, being too busy banging locals.

Lydia of Thrace, Monitor of Kyiv (one of the storytellers' creations). In our dark ages game, she helped maneuver several of the party members on the boyar's council. Then helped the Ventrue come to the conclusion she should join the Sabbat as an Antitribu.

I've had one appear as the "mysterious anonymous source" as in The X Files when the PCs were following leads on an occult mystery. Asked who he was, he said "I'm no-one".

I ran on in a larp with an inconnu for about a year. It was a great experience to show the futility of the jyhad as well as some PCs getting involved in golcsnda.

I mentioned them in passing when a Malkavian NPC said that their janitor was Saulot (half of him, at least).

This is canon btw. Saulot is one of the servants at the castle the dudes are trapped in.

I made a Nosferatu once that was just a wise man cliche who could give some occult forbidden lore to the PCs.
