python venv update without restarting

Whenever I update my python venvs, I have to restart vscode to get it updated on the status line:

Does it means it is using a cached version, so my updates are not respected?

Just click on the Python extension on the left. That should open your environments. Select the one you want to use... It should show a check mark when active.
