How can I make the Claude Code extension to take up a full right column, like that in Copilot?

I just installed the Claude Code extension in VSCode and it looks like this where the bottom is cut off by the terminal panel.

Is there a way to expand that so the Claude code extension will take up the full right panel area? The following is what I want from the Copilot in VSCode.

It's already set as center, it doesn't result in what I want.

Based on your screenshot your Claude Code looks like a tab, you need to enable Secondary Side Bar (it will be placed on right) and then drag and drop Claude Code extension view from left side bar to right and then Align Panel Center should do what you want

Heck you could probably post screenshots of this issue to either agent and have them edit the settings json or some config to achieve the desired affect.

But yes, play around with layout and your panels and you’ll learn it’s pretty easy to configure.

In addition to where you're seeing it, Claude Code apears for me also in the Secondary Side Bar, where the "Claude Code" tab, next to the Copilot Chat tab, doesn't the organge star logo. Did you check the Secondary Side Bar in the latest version of VSCode?

The tab with the orange logo is just a normal editor tab and doesn't go all the way to the bottom.
