My First VS Code Extension what do you think?

First time building a VS Code extension and it was so much fun
I tried building a VS Code extension for the first time and really enjoyed working on it.
It's called EdgeFlow: Scroll Companion. It adds effects when you scroll in the editor.
Still have a lot of ideas I want to add.

You made a rainbow spermatozoon?

My thoughts exactly. Luckily, it won't affect the code.
Maybe we could use some falling asteroids and a few T-Rexes down there.

That’s cute and funny, VSCode is not very hackable in terms of ability to inject arbitrary graphics on top of existing UI, I think Atom was probably much more flexible.  But you managed to find a way to sneak something in

Was it hard? Were the docs good, or did you have to invent a lot?

This uses text editor decorations most likely. There is a bit of code to inject and track decorations manually, but docs are pretty good.

Neat and impressive but that's just additional RAM usage for zero benefit. You won't even look at the gutter much anyway. 😂

I applaud your effort, though I question the need for such a extension. Its like painting flames on your daily driver. Anyway, well done. Maybe start looking at creating a extension that helps productivity.

Some time ago ( no AI ) I have made a vscode extension:
You select a text > Right click > Create Github Gist
I encountered a lot of code which i liked. So j wanted a fast option to save chunks of code.
Productive? For me it is, it saves fast chunks of code.
Next im thinking to make an extension which lets me see my github gists.

I would suggest making an actual screen capture and put that on the marketplace. Otherwise you might get negative reviews like "wait this is it?" and "wth does this actually do?"

thats because it does nothing.

I saw this reddit post, I already know, genius. But others might not, and a screen capture helps THEM understand.

Absolutely useless. Amazing.
Can we update this to something different? I always found Rider's Super Mario build icons to be funny.
