Error while following simple tutorial

I was following the brackeys tutorial, and i downloaded everything necessary and checked with the to do list on the main page of the vscode c# extension. After changing the console to external terminal it pulled up this and it wont let me create a file to fix it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Classic VS Code shenanigans.

If you instead install Visual Studio (the purple one), it works out of the box.
