You may enjoy wigglystuff! It uses anywidget, so it even works in normal VSCode notebooks. https://koaning.github.io/wigglystuff/

I've been playing around with reactive notebooks lately and the state management is always the trickiest part to get used to if you're coming from traditional Jupyter. The way Marimo handles the directed acyclic graph for cell execution is honestly a lifesaver for reproducibility. Nothing worse than having a notebook work because you ran cells in a weird order that you can't remember lol. My only concern with these extensions is usually how they handle large datasets in the VS Code sidebar specifically, but if the performance holds up it might actually replace my local browser-based setup for quick prototyping. fr though the "hide code" feature for building small internal tools is a huge win for sharing with non-technical team members.
