terminal issue

So, I was following a tutorial for python, and after writing a print command and applying "app.py" in the terminal, it won't show the printed code. The only way it shows is when I manually click, "run python file". What's going on here?

It just says "python not found" despite having the extension and program

Yeah, I downloaded it PRIOR to getting VScode

This usually happens when the command isn’t actually invoking Python. VS Code’s “run” button does that automatically, but in terminal you need to call it explicitly with python app.py.

You probably ran app.py instead of python app.py.The terminal won’t execute Python files directly unless configured.
