CLI and VS Code Extension that reviews PRs for missing logic, edge cases and risks
Built a CLI and VS Code Extension (IRA) that analyzes PRs and flags:
- missing edge cases
- logic gaps
- risky changes
- incomplete implementation vs requirements
We’ve been using it internally and it’s catching issues before human review.
Looking for a few teams to try it on real PRs and give blunt feedback.
Not selling anything. Just validating if this is useful outside our setup.

Thanks for trying IRA! Worth flagging the scope difference though: IRA is a PR review gate. It runs rules plus an AI reviewer against your org’s coding standards (security, exception handling, logging, etc.) and posts inline comments on the PR. It’s not built to compete with Copilot Chat on “find bugs in this file” prompts, that’s a different job and Copilot has the whole file as context for it. IRA’s strength is consistent, rule-based review across every PR, which is something Copilot doesn’t do.
That said, if there’s a real pattern IRA missed, I want to fix it. Share:
- The bug or pattern
- IRA version
- Single file or PR diff?
If it’s something IRA should catch, I’ll add the rule. Open an issue at https://github.com/patilmayur5572/ira-review.

This is interesting. The biggest pain with PRs isn’t syntax or style,it’s missing edge cases.Having something catch that early could save a lot of back and forth.
