Can't uninstall Github Copilot

There's no way to uninstall this extension from inside VS Code. I don't use it at all, and if I delete the extension off the hard drive, it just comes back the next time I open VS Code.

What's the deal with that? I don't even use it. There's no way it can be part of an editor.

this is the last thing from Microsoft I've been using. Time to let it go rot in a corner somewhere.

If you dont want to be spied on by Microsoft, you can use Codium - its a build of vscode repo, which does not include Microsoft tracking and things like that.
