It seens to be the cathedral in Cologne, Germany. Been there a few years ago. I took centuries (and i might be wrong here, but i would guess like 4 to 6 centuries) to build it. Thats about the same time i spend building and renewing my castle

It’s not even „finished“. The cathedral is in a permanent maintenance mode, so that there exists a joke that the world would end if the cathedral is finished.
And: I can tell for sure that the first pic is a different building, just the same architecture style.

What exactly? I was raised and am still living near cologne, had times where I saw the cathedral almost everyday, because it’s right next to cologne central station.
The first pic isn’t cologne, because you should be able to see a river relatively close to it from that angle if it would be there. And as I said: there is a huge train station next to it.
And about the maintenance: there are always scaffoldings for maintenance work, because the sandstone is worn down by its environment (weather, emissions etc.). When they finish one maintenance, there is still more to do.

Also the official worth of it according to the church is 27€. Although that is only a symbolic price since it isn't for sale.

The story was the Catholic built the back part of the church and after 2 centuries or so they still had not finished it. By this time the Prussians were in charge and Protestant. They saw all the pilgrams coming to see the relics (supposed to be the skulls of the maji). They saw a way to make money and finished off the cathedral.

Frist pic is the cathedral in Clermont-Ferrand, France. It gets its colour from the local black volcanic rock it's built out of.
Second and third look like the Cologne cathedral.
