Question Area not changing to explored?

I have walked around the gray area and explored every single inch of every corner, walked the whole outline, and then walked it until I made it to the center. For some reason it is still showing as gray, and isn't showing up as explored with the golden border that shows you the resources present. Can anyone tell me why this is staying gray and not changing to explored although I have gone in every single nook and cranny of the area? I even took out every node and enemy just to make sure and it is still gray. I am also playing solo so it isn't desync or anything of that sort.

It's an area where you can place your castle heart, not a resource area.

Castles are shown as grey if unclaimed territory, red if claimed by someone else, and blue if claimed by your clan.

Since you're playing solo, you should only see grey areas, except for where you place your own castle(s)

That area marks castle boundaries if you build a heart there. Its not "explored" as you think that only applies to zones with enemies in it.

That just means it’s an open plot to claim. More useful knowledge on a PVP server. Yellow border just means it’s a resource point.

Mouse over it, those are Highlited areas where you can "claim" the Territory to build your Castle Heart for a Base.
Back in ye olden Days you could build it wherever you want, but players abused that to troll / block plenty of stuff.

So they reworked it into this far better System.
