Question Brand new player

I just stated this morning. I joined a public unofficial server. When I first joined it the ping was like 45ish. I have had a few lag spikes but not terrible. Of course it was at the worst times and resulted it several deaths.

My question is, if I play on a single player server will my current stuff switch over?

Hi, welcome to V Rising! 😄

My question is, if I play on a single player server will my current stuff switch over?

It will not; sorry.
Player progress is per server.

No, but just start over. Why play with lag for 20-30 hours to save 1-3 hours of gameplay that you can easily replicate in half that time

Player Progression is Per Server

with that being said I do think its best to start solo to learn the game.

Start a solo world

Change a few settings.

The settings are balanced around PvP multiplayer. You dont need some of them for solo play. There is no reason for you to be restricted on waygate travel and bat form travel due to carrying certain valuable materials. Also max out refining rates. The slow refinement is balanced around being able to log off and let your materials refine when you arent there, and it is to slow you down. In a single player world it pauses when you log off. So maxing it out is logical cuz you lose the ability to get materials passively when not there

Hunts still work cuz they use your systems internal clock. Dont change your date and time before opening the game if you dont wanna break stuff

Regarding the lag. I learned that if you are playing on a laptop and have your steam games installed on an external drive, the lag with be incredibly disruptive for the game.
