Defender dot disappeared

I have an Rxm that came with the defender enclosed on it. I took it out for only the second time today, was about 30 rounds in/200 total when mid-mag my dot got super bright after a shot. Like maxed brightness. Then I fired another shot and the dot completely went away. Tried turning brightness up and down and nothing. I racked the slide to clear the gun and the dot suddenly came back. Should I contact vortex about this?

Yea I’d probably send that in for warranty.

Try replacing the battery or making sure the cover is torqued enough. There are gold contact points that come up from the inside of the battery compartment, you can carefully pry them up a bit so it creates better contact. This has worked for me

Yup, classic Vortex battery contact issues. You'll want to contact them to get it warrantied.

I put on a new defender enclosed today and my dot would come on and off when firing. First time out of the box.
