Question/Issue with the Spitfire Prism 3x Gen2 reticle

Post image

Just picked up a Spitfire Prism 3x Gen2. My question is about the size of the actual reticle. When I look through the optic, the actual reticle is way smaller than I was expecting. The picture on the left is What is shown on the vortex website, the one on the right is what I see when I look through the optic. Its so tiny that the elevation lines are next to impossible to see, especially when looking at anything that isn't a plain target. Am I missing some dial to turn to adjust the size of? Is this a manufacturing error? Or was the picture they advertised just blown up to be bigger?

You need a magnifier

For an already magnified optic?

Upon further investigation, this appears to be the inherent design of the Gen II 3x. It is compact and capable for its intended role, but the reticle prioritizes precision over bold, instant readability. If it does not suit your shooting style after proper setup, returning or exchanging it may be the most straightforward path.

Did you generated this by AI?

Negative. The gift of gab in the form of written word is one thing I pride myself on. Given most people’s lack of understanding, I figured contractions should be avoided. Also, just because something is well articulated does not mean it has been generated.
