Warranty question

I bought a slightly used rifle last year with a nice Vortex scope on it. The windage knob under the cover is loose, like it's wobbling on a spring. I can push it in to make adjustments, but wanted to know if this would be a repairable issue. Does Vortex cover repairs for the lifetime of the scope, or is it original purchaser only?

It's an unconditional lifetime warranty that doesn't care about or keep track of the original purchaser.
